I haven't, I don't really drink Dr. Pepper. But maybe some day when I'm at work I'll give it a try tho!
How would you describe it? I've never really even though about mixing sodas, it's not a bad idea!
Hmm well taste is the most difficult sense to describe for. But I'll do my best.
Dr. Pepper itself boasts a unique flavor that is essentially just... tastier than Coke or Pepsi, honestly. It is comparable to Pibb xtra if you've ever tried that. it has subtle notes of cherry and vanilla, allegedly, but it's honestly just a cola that's sweeter than coke.
Root beer in my experience has an extre frothy carbonation to it, and a bit of a vanilla kick to it. There's also a bit of what I can perhaps describe as mintyness? Hard to say for sure. Again, taste is the hardest sense to describe for.
When you put the two together they just make for a really full-bodied and complete taste. You can't really tell you're taking two sodas at once to be honest.
My preferred ratio is 2/3 Dr. Pepper and 1/3 Root beer. My preferred brand of root beer to use is A&W but you're more likely to find MUG or Barq's if you're at a soda fountain.

I think you did well describing those.
Yeah, I have no idea what brand we have but you're probably right.
