I know that this is heavily debated, But I am working on my own reasoning/theory for why Rey is a Solo.
I think she is a Solo, because Daisy Ridley has said she thought her parentage was obvious in TFA. I used to think she was a Kenobi, and still sorta half-hope she is, but I just think that would be kind of hard to make believable, and the saga is supposed to be about the Skywalkers. Keep in mind, if she was a Solo, she'd still have Skywalker blood, since Leia would be her mother.
Could she not be another child of the Force? Her and Anakin are a lot alike. From the desert home world, to the Force overkill and the continued unbalance of the Force. It seems possible. Which... I don't know, could make Anakin her half-brother.

I've heard that before, but I still think a Han/Leia parentage is more likely, since she obviously did have parents in the flashback.

There was a flash back? That's new to me. I only watched it once, but I don't remember that part. Still, she could have had parents who adopted her. I don't know. Maybe...

I meant the weird Force vision thingy when she touched the lightsaber.
For those who read/played Force Unleashed I and II. I believe that Starkiller is himself throughout the course of both stories and thus never died at the end of Vader's blade or Palpatine's force lightening.
So I'm just going to list and argue some points to support my theory that Starkiller is nothing other than the same consciousness from TFU I. Most/all research for this theory was done by me. I did watch some videos and read a few articles to aid me, but most people believe that Starkiller is a new clone with no relations to the 'original' other than biological ones. So here is my list of reasons why Starkiller's consciousness is the same throughout his story. Please note: The basis of this theory is now considered Legends and not Canon.
1: Essence Transfer is actually a thing. Palpatine not only used this skill to resurrect himself, but others like Bevel Lemelisk. Starkiller could be considered practice.
2: In regards to '1'. The Essence Transfer uses clones. This could explain the vast amounts of Starkiller clones on Kamino.
3. Ni-Ke-Vans, an expert in clones states (TFU II p. 161.) that the Khommites have "never managed to fix the memory problem" and further elaborates that "each clone is a new person".
4. Ni-Ke-Vanz foreshadowing. "No one has ever managed to copy a Force sensitive" terrible things happen to them, "Insanity. Psychosis" among other things. He also mentions that the Khommites' attempt to 'weed' out the Force due to these issues. This could also be a hint to the future Force sensitive, Luuke clone.
5. The Dark Clone from the graphic novel and TFU II dark ending is deformed (mechanical chest plate) like the other failed clones. See 4.
6. Kota's stating (TFU II p. 164.) that "You [Starkiller] act no crazier than you originally did" further disproves those who believe TFU II Starkiller to be different from TFU I. Given that Starkiller tried to kill Kota and build a rebellion based on lies and deception, I think Kota's opinion is worthy, especially when you take note of Kota's dislike for clones.
7. Proof that Starkiller is indeed the same person and consciousness from the original book/game is hinted throughout. Hints of memories returning as those childhood memories did in TFU I. Psychologically, people can suppress distressing memories. I think it's safe to assume that Starkiller was not treated very well by Vader for having 'weak' memories and thus Starkiller was forced to put them out of mind as he did with those of being an orphaned boy, in TFU I.
8. Starkiller's lack of scars after being impaled by Darth Vader. He surely should have died from either that or the space vacuum.
9. There is absolutely no way he could have survived the Death Star battle. And again, he returns with no scarring or damage from that battle.
10. In the graphic novel, Boba Fett discovers that clones of himself are being generated. This leads me to believe that there is some greater plot behind all the cloning. It simply cannot be so obvious as to just cloning Starkiller for the fun of it. That theory just does not seem to work.
10. Cont. The Kaminoans secretly cloned Falon Grey, Kota's original Apprentice. The Empire's continued dabbling in cloning is curious to say the least.
10. Cont. The Emperor was not happy with the broken Apprentice he had gained. This could explain a lot of the cloning practices. He knew that Luke, son of the most feared Dark Lord was out there. A newer and shinier Anakin Skywalker but without the misunderstood prophecy lingering above him. Why clone Anakin, when you can clone and mold you very own Luke Skywalker? Why keep Starkiller as an Apprentice when Luke is a trophy? At least, that what I think this was about.
11. The fact that people really don't care whether or not he is a clone. It just does not matter to them. He is obsessive, but everyone understands it. They could not scarcely imagine what growing up as Darth Vader's Apprentice would be like. It's what they expect from him. For what he went through, they consider his tendencies to normal and not those of a crazy Force sensitive clone.
12. Finally, I don't believe there has ever, in the history of the star wars galaxies been a clone who was self-aware of its past life. If there was, the Emperor would use that technique instead of Essence Transfer. A self-aware clone would be far more useful than a clone body which degraded under the power of the dark side.
So to reiterate what I said earlier, this theory assumes that Starkiller's consciousness was transferred into a new clone body, twice. Once after he was impaled by Darth Vader and the second after the Death Star battle. On the first attempt, it seems clear that Vader and the Emperor were unaware of Starkiller's shift in allegiance as he rediscovered Galen Marek. On the subsequent attempt, they both understood, thus attempted and failed to clone him (see 4 and 5) and opted to painfully remove the memories and shift him to the dark side. Something we know which again, did not work.
If this theory is correct, it adds a whole lot more to the overall Star Wars story. Connects a lot of holes in Legends. If the writers went for the two clone ideas, well that's just boring, uncomplicated and doesn't make sense.
If I were to rename TFU and use my theory as Canon, I'd call it "Star Wars: How Starkiller got played".
P.S. I do plan on writing a TFU III fan fiction one day. Hence, the amount of research I personally put into this theory over the course of far too long.
These stories are a bit old and outdated now but still. What do you think?
Aaah, and my friend discussed this after playing through TFU 2 a while back and it makes conplete sense. Especially #12 makes this quite convincing.
They probably told him he was a Clone to stop him from messing with stuff from his old life, like his master and Juno Eclipse.
I hope they bring Starkiller (or a similar secret apprentice of Vader's) back to canon at some point in time.
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.

I posted this theory about how Snoke is really Darth Maul on the MBs a while back, but there is even more evidence to support it now, so I'll be adding that at the end.
Okay, so before we get into the theory, I'm going to recap everything that we know FOR SURE about Superme Leader Snoke (most of which we know thanks to the novelization of The Force Awakens):
- Snoke is an alien - Snoke witnessed the rise an fall of the Empire - Snoke had at least one apprentice before Kyle Ren
Now, for who I think Snoke is...
Darth Maul
Okay, Darth maul is an alien, just like Snoke. Maul witnessed the rise and (while we have to wait until Rebels is over to be sure) probably the fall of the Empire. Snoke 's first apprentice could quite very well be Ezra, and since I feel like Ezra would have been involved in the events that take place in Rogue One, he probably turns to the Dark Side before A New Hope.
Why else would Lucasfilm decide to continue Maul's story through Rebels? Plus, if Rey is a Kenobi, Thisbe would be amazing storytelling. Rey, eventually having to defeat her grandfather's old enemy.
Obviously, Snoke looks very differently from Maul, but if Maul gets major injuries in Rebels, if his tattoos fade and his horns are, say, burnt off, he could look quite like Snoke.
And don't say Disney afraid to bring stories from the TV shows into the movies, as Saw Gerrera appears in Rogue One (which isn't a spoiler because he is in the trailers).
If you think about it, Rebels could very well have been created to tie into the movies, first by showing how the rebellion got to the point it is at in Rogue One, and to show how Maul became Snoke. And don't forget, J.J. Abrams said that's Snoke isn't really a Sith, and we saw Maul pretty much revoke the Sith in The Clone Wars and Rebels.
And before you say that's Darth Maul would be too old, Sith can live longer with their Dark Side powers, like Sidious did.
New evidence: Episide VIII's title card is red. The only time the Star Wars logo has been red before was in some Maul episodes of The Clone Wars. Also, in the trailer for Rebels season 3, we see that Maul will duel Obi-Wan, the possible cause of the major injuries we see on him as Snoke. Thirdly, a Darth Maul comic series for Marvel has been announced, proving that Lucasfilm wants to flesh out his backstory even more.
So, what's everyone think. If you have any evidence to disprove it, I do want to hear it!
Makes more sense than Mace being Snoke.
I watched a Mace is Snoke theory. It seemed very far fetched to me. One bit of evidence they gave was the purple light saber being between "red" and "blue", "Light" and "Dark". Apparently Mace's purple light saber was a representation of him balancing the Force. I was under the impression that it was common knowledge that Samuel L Jackson asked for a purple light saber just to be different. I don't believe Mace could even be seen as balancing the Force. The Clone Wars shows us that balancing the Force isn't about oneself. It's about balancing the Son and the Daughter, something Anakin didn't do. Just to be a pain, who's to say Snoke isn't the Son? <- I have no way of backing that up, but lets start another theory.
For those who read/played Force Unleashed I and II. I believe that Starkiller is himself throughout the course of both stories and thus never died at the end of Vader's blade or Palpatine's force lightening.

Kudos to your friend, few people look deeper into Starkiller's story.
Well, Vader showed Starkiller a dead version of himself in the graphic novel. I think we can assume (based on this theory) that this was Vader's way of convincing Starkiller that he was a clone and not a transferred Essence. Given that this theory is based on novels, it's not hard to see why people don't follow it. Most people just watch the movies, so for them, there really isn't an explanation.
Exactly, Starkiller was a mindless and powerful tool to be exploited. When he became, "not-so-mindless" Vader and or the Emperor had to take action. He was turning their plans again them.
I too hope they bring him back. Sam Witwer is an underappreciated actor, he and Starkiller deserve to be made Canon. That shouldn't be too difficult to do. I watched Rogue One, it's possible to squeeze Starkiller in without stepping on any/many toes. You just have the push his timeline back a little bit. Even if you didn't, you could get away with no to very little changes to fit it in nicely.
Haden Blackman stated that TFU III was going to be multiplayer with Starkiller teaming with Darth Vader. Part me is happy that it was never made because the idea of Vader teaming with anyone, let alone someone who despises him, just seems out of character and purely for gaming experience, rather than continuity. I would prefer a Kota/Marek multiplayer, seems to fit both characters better.

Canonically, Snoke actually can't be any human character, because in the TFA novelization, it specifically says he is an alien. Also, Aftermath: Empire's End seemed to hint at Snoke being a new character.

I meant to say "me and my friend," but yes, we looked deeper into his story.
I love looking deeper into Star Wars, both canon and legends. I'm reading Heir to the Empire right now actually!
To bring him into canon in a way that makes sense, he could be an early Inquisitor that Vader decides to secretly train to be a Sith, and the story could take place shortly after Lords of the Sith.
Vader has worked with people before, including Boba Fett and Doctor Aphra, but mostly for his own personal gain, not because he likes to make friends. Honestly, I'd love to see them humanize Darth Vader more, maybe they will do that in the new Vader comic series recently announces, that will focus on his first couple years of being Darth Vader.
Maybe they could have Vader attacking a village, and he sees a slave boy, and spares his life because he remembers his time as a slave?
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.

So long as they don't take the humanising too far and make him look like a pushover. I think a slave child could work. I was thinking about writing something like that. A tattooed slave with some sort of insignia Vader recognises. It would depress him to see that it's still happening, but there is no way back. It might even make him more angry knowing that he never made a difference. We need more Vader Violence. Best part of the previous two movies was Vader's destruction in Rogue One.
There are some Legends comics and novels which go into his depressions, can't tell you the name for I have not read them. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. I just liked the TFU I Wii game. So I played the next and the story didn't make any sense. So I ordered all books from the USA, was sent a graphic novel instead of the second one and so I bought all of them and studied this theory.
