I think if Luke would leave it would in 9 not viii. I don't think he will even leave the island. Its going to be Yoda and Luke all over again.

Well its been confirmed the its the Plural of Jedi, So it could mean Luke and Rey and who knows what else.

I hear Spanish movie posters revealed that the Jedi is plural. Maybe I heard incorrectly, I don't know.
