Mine was Venture, because it was my first and I liked the Daredevil kits. Now that I'm a bit older, though, I'd be more of a Sentinels guy- and if that doesn't tell you people can change I'm not sure what will!xD
Anyway, here I've included the faction trailer in text form so even those who never played can gauge which they would have enjoyed the most. The faction trailer:

In Lego Universe it all depends on the Nexus Force faction you choose to join. Founded by three of the original Crux explorers, the Nexus Force was set up to include the bravest, and most imaginative minifigures from across the Universe. By joining the force, you will receive special powers/equipment to defeat the maelstrom. But don't expect to get your membership badge for free. you have to earn it. Only after completing four initiation challenges will you be invited to join one of the powerful Nexus Force factions...
The Assembly- Supervised by the eccentric Dr. Overbuild, who specialize in the wonders of creative building and object control.
The Sentinels- Lead by the legendary Duke Exeter, who are masters in the art of battle, smashing, and ridding the universe of stromlings.
The Parodox- Run by the mysterious Vanda Darkflame, Who use their scientific minds and fearless nature to turn the power of the evil maelstrom against itself.
The Venture League- Spearheaded by the notorious Hale Storm, who use their adventerous spirits to charter unknown territories, and to crack challenges and mysteries inside Lego Universe.
Depending on the faction you join, you will receive different powers and abilities to match your quests, and rise in the ranks of the Nexus Force. So power up, defeat the maelstrom, and save imagination through the faction of your heart.
