Due to the battle, all the Pigmen were seriously injured, and the landscape was scarred and deformed. Fire and lava were everywhere, and the once firm terrain was now brittle, breaking quickly if punched or mined, not to mention fireballed by one of the floating creatures. Stone was one of the few materials that could stand up to them properly, but, as the dimension was now devoid of stone, it would have to be brought in from the other world. This was not a problem, though. After the first three researchers failed to return, the rest of the group entered once an hour had passed. As the portal's twin had been destroyed, frame and all, by the researchers in their monster form, a new portal appeared when the group entered. As they looked around, they came the conclusion that the dimension was completely uninhabitable. Between the Pigmen, the floating creatures, the fire and lava, and the lack of shelter, the researchers decided that they should probably go back.
But they couldn't. At that moment, one of the floating creatures spat a fireball at the portal, destroying the portal, but leaving the frame undamaged. Thus the research team was trapped in an inhospitable dimension, with no way to call for help. But, they got by. Through experimentation, they found a way to smelt the brittle terrain into sturdy bricks, and used the bricks to construct fortresses. Large, sprawling fortresses, over lakes of lava, under hills... Though they were not defended enough. The group of Ancients had a stone sword each, but this was inadequate. Using several techniques, they constructed creatures of fire, mechanical beings who would defend their fortresses. The creatures were named Blazes, and were composed of a cloud of smoke, and a head and several rods made of fire. Eventually, more and more people entered the dimension. And eventually, they tried constructing portals in other places. This led to the discovery that one yard/meter in the other dimension, was equal to roughly seven yards/meters in the Ancients' Kingdom. This discovery led to many more, and, eventually, routes through the dimension were established, serving as shortcuts through the Ancients' Kingdom.
I feel like there's a lot of really good lore here that I'm incapable of fully appreciating. I haven't played any minecraft.

Chapter 6
Despite being able to leave now, the research team, for whatever reason, decided to stay in the other dimension. They lived out the rest of their lives defending the fortresses, tending a special crop used to make magic potions, and creating an automatic and infinite source of Blazes. They spent the rest of their lives in the other dimension, but enjoyed it, as they were no longer trapped there.
Aside from them, there was another, less "legal", group of portal researchers. They were more reverent of portals, and and believed that portals could not simply be "created", but must be "opened". While neither was technically wrong, we will be focusing on this group and their dimension for now, before moving back to the Ancients' Kingdom. These Ancients had a talent for identifying and seeking out interdimensional energies, and used this talent to locate multiple points where the energy was higher, and thus where portals could be opened. They traveled the world, and eventually discovered that the dimension energies were higher underground. As such, they created a large tunnel, which contained not only a room where the energies were highest, but things such as libraries, fountains, and, for whatever reason, prisons. However, the group, though experts on matters of interdimensionality (is that even a word), were unable to open a portal. They consulted with the research group that traveled to the other dimension, but found nothing that they did not already know. One day, one of the members of the second group managed to create a magic orb that, when thrown, would teleport its user to the spot where it landed. While experimenting with this, a member of the first research group explained the uses of the powder from a Blaze rod. For instance, in addition to being an ingredient, Blaze powder was needed to fuel a brewing stand, with each pinch of Blaze powder supplying up to 20 batches of potions. The one member of the second research team accidentally dropped Blaze powder on one of the teleportation spheres. But, by whatever amount of luck, the two, when combined, made an orb even more magical than before. Twelve, in the right positions, could open a portal.

Chapter 7
Of course, the Ancients did not know this yet, and the Ancient who created the first Eye of Ender was somewhat disconcerted when the transformation first occurred. Upon throwing it, it seemingly did nothing. However, upon returning to the Ancients' Kingdom, upon being thrown, it, by some magic, returned to the large tunnel, finally coming to rest in the soon-to-be portal room. And so, one by one, the research group gradually managed to use the normal teleportation orbs to travel to another dimension. This dimension was nothing like the others. While the other two had several things, like mountains and caves, this one had nothing. It was just a bunch of floating islands, made out of a yellowish material. They were able to travel across the islands using the teleportation orbs, but navigation was impossible. There were no landmarks, nothing to remember. There also was no sense of time.
After very much traveling, the group settled on one island, and created a tower from the yellowish stone, and purple bricks made from a local fruit. They also met a mollusk-like creature that taught them how to defy gravity, in return for permission to live inside the tower. With this knowledge, they created magic wings, as well as floating ships to travel the void with. Over time, cities were established, with several mollusk like creatures living in them, and defending them from (currently nonexistent) intruders. The Ancients who traveled to this dimension also underwent a surprising transformation, growing taller and slimmer due to the constant teleportation. Their eyes also became discolored, now being purple. Eventually, a group of these Ancients, including the one who created the teleportation orbs, settled on one island, and created large obsidian pillars to mark it as the "main" island. These pillars were the only buildings, along with an indestructible fountain-like structure, intended to be used as a return portal. Upon their brief return, a portal to the final dimension was opened in the large underground stronghold. An ancient egg was passed on to the group of Ancients from the mollusk-like creatures. Supposedly, a dragon would hatch from it. But who knows?

Chapter 8
In the Ancients' Kingdom, things were also progressing smoothly. All the Pigman villages within the Ancients' Kingdom had been destroyed and rebuilt with normal materials, and inhabited by Ancients. Temples had been built in deserts as a tribute to the three researchers who became a monster. Temples had also been created in jungles, though they were more in the style of forts. Huts had been constructed in swamps, and would later be inhabited by Villagers who had turned to follow the path of witchcraft. Mansions had been made in dark forests, rising far above the trees and capable of housing a very large group. Monuments were created on land that would later be flooded, and inhabited by sea creatures. Igloos were created in snowier areas, sometimes having a secret laboratory in the secret basement. Villages were built on the same level as the monuments, and, consequently, were flooded as well.
But, of course, all things came to an end. The Ancients were smashed after several consecutive attacks by the spiders, who took over the Ancients' mineshafts. During the final attack on the central castle, in a final bow similar to the Pigman king's, the nine kings used a stock of TNT to destroy the castle and town, smashing the majority of the spiders, but causing their own race's extinction as well. The Ancients from the two other dimensions were also unable to help, due to the spiders destroying the portals to the second dimension, and the fact that the Ancients in the third had no way of knowing the plight of the Ancients' Kingdom.
After an indefinite amount of time, the Villagers came to the Ancients' Kingdom. They inhabited the villages, and tried their best to have nothing to do with the spiders. They were more timid than the Ancients, usually staying within the confines of their villages, but that is not to say they were defenseless. Large golems made of iron would patrol the villages, fighting off spiders that dared come near. And even without the overly large amount of gold the Pigmen possessed, or the portal system the Ancients used, the Villagers managed to have a highly successful trading career.
