Welcome to Harad! A vast land, Harad is the collective name for the the lands in the south of Middle-Earth. It is home to many fierce tribes who, during the 3rd Age, allied with Sauron against their hated enemies, the Gondorians. Now, following the defeat of Sauron, the Haradrim look to continue the fight against the Gondorians and their allies.
This HQ encompasses everything south of all the other lands. It borders Haradwaith (to the North), Umbar (to the N-E), and Khand (to the N-W).
Mods, this is for the New LOTR RP. It has been approved by the RP and its rep.

Would Umbar be able to use some Haradrim mercenary? They would come out of Umbars MWE, so you wouldn't be loosing any MWE.

Can I suggest you 'trade' troops, because I don't think we allowed this last time, unless it was the other way around. This is just because I don't think that if I granted Gondor dwarves it would not be canon, therefore if some HQs can't reasonably do this none should. Just my opinion though

I'd have to agree with MLB here. There were other reasons why this was objected to before (Umbar was trying to put Oliphaunts on ships ), but it's a can of worms I'd rather not open, even if this particular scenario is harmless.

See, I do occasionally have a good idea/memory. Occasionally Always Umbar though. Hmmmmmm It's a can of those tunneler worms from the non-canon BotFA

Ok, I just though since they where right next to each other, and I didn't want to ask to join to further drain EE's resources I could just train mercenarys. I thought that it would be cool and cannonical if Harad and umbar, and maybe Dol Amroth and Gondor, could share some troops.

We can maybe revisit this in a bit, but for now, I'd rather keep it simple.
Also, feel free to join if you want; it's just me and Tuvok ATM. I'm used to running HQs with 8k troops or fewer, and half my regions + my HQ under attack. So I'm likely not going to know what to do with all these troops. JK, I'll find uses aplenty, but there's more than enough troops, if you want to join.

Just noting that in the old RP we allowed people to trade men literally. For the first few months of my RP career I had 500 heavy cavalry of Wild Men in my army, given by gandalfofthesecretfire. And that was very legal to do. Oliphaunts probably could not fit on a ship, but that is because of physics, not practicality of having Haradrim unitry.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

I am the exact opposite. I'm used to running 2 HQ's almost by myself. Not sure how I'll manage with only 9K troops. Or with taking orders from someone.

That's what I meant. Troops can be 'trade' or 'gifted' but the MWE of them has to come from the HQ they belong to. I.e. Haradrim being used by Umbar have to be originally be from Harad and count as MWE from Harad if smashed.

Welp, guess I should post a bio for my PC.
Name: Dajuzel
Age: 39
Homeland: A savannah at the foothills of the Grey Mts. (The southern range, not the cold, dragon-infested range in the north! )
Appearance: Quite large (~6'3", 225 lbs.). He has extremely dark black skin, and hair to match. He bears a deep scar on his face (from above his left eyebrow to the bridge of his nose). His eyes are a deep, dark brown color, with just a hint of red in them.
Backstory: The child of a leading family, Dajuzel quickly rose to prominence among his tribe, gaining notoriety as a fearsome warrior. As the right hand of the ruling chieftain, he led his people to conquer the other neighboring tribes. As said chieftain was smashed in one of these battles, Dajuzel gained his title. Several years later, messengers arrived from the north, bearing word that the Great Eye was gathering his forces. Dajuzel complied, gathered an army, and began the trek northward. Upon reaching the lands of the Umbar, however, he was informed that they were too late: the Great Eye was defeated, and many Haradrim lost. Making a pact with the men of Umbar and Khand, Dajuzel swore to the Almighty Mûmak that he would not return home, till his men had slain "a thousand lion-shares" of Gondorians (approx. 8,000 men). Now, he seeks to fulfill his vow.
Personality: Dajuzel is a deeply religious man. He believes that, in addition to the Great Eye, another deity called the "Almighty Mûmak" guides the fortunes of his people alone. Thus, he will do (and has done) virtually anything in the name of the Almighty Mûmak, whether good or evil. On a related note, he is quite to his allies, and fiercely loyal to his own people. He can be surprisingly gentle and tender, especially with women and children, but will not hesitate to slay those whom he deems have done him (or his people) wrong. Given his separation from Gondor's closer enemies (Umbar, Khand, Near Haradrim), he has had to quickly learn their language(s). He has not yet perfected it, still speaks with a deep accent, and often fails miserably in the grammar dept.
Equipment: He usually wears armor made of bronze plates woven into lion pelts. For weaponry, he carries several throwing spears, and a large wooden club, with shards of obsidian set into it. Sometimes, he also carries a buckler.
Hope that works.

Great bio! I think I will join the HQ if you don't mind. What sort of Bio would you recommend? What if he is some sort of an ambassador to the Dark Numenorion kingdoms in the south?
