Chapter 2 Patience and Planing

Copic's vehicle past freshly harvested fields as it drove past the many farms in this small region of Ninjago. The landscape was vaguely fumliaur to Zephyr, however she could hardly place it. Then the van turned into the long driveway of a farm with a farmhouse and several large buildings that appeared to be for animals, feed and equipment. There were cows grazing behind wire fencing, Zephyr was reminded of what Keegan had told her about staying away from it. Copic parked the van and they all got out as some people came out of the farmhouse to greet them. Zephyr recognized them to be Moe's mother and one of his younger brothers. When the boy saw them he rushed back inside shouting.
" It's ok to come out, it's them! " Then he came back out followed by Gregory, George, Zarha and aunt Amelia.
" Zephyr! Is father with you? " Said Zahra as she ran over to Zephyr. She shook her head no and looked down at the ground.
" Then where is he? " Asked George. " And where's the fire guy? " Zephyr didn't want to tell them the horrible truth, but she had to tell them something.
" I don't know... But I will find them. " Moe walked up to his brother and asked.
" Where are all the others Mac? " Mac answered.
" Mark is in his room texting you know who. Dad is teaching your friend's family to do farm chores, and some of them up in the attic." Moe's mother nooded to confirm that what he said was true and added.
" For those of you who don't know, we've come to the agreement that the family can live in our attic and hide here and do farm chores in return. Centaur was intending to hire some new hired hands ever since our last ones quit to get jobs elsewhere. "
" And again, we thank you for that. " Said Zephyr's aunt Amelia.
" How about I show everyone around the farm real quick and maybe we'll see dad and the others. " Said Moe.
" Go ahead. " Said Moe's mother. So Moe showed Zephyr, Lisa, Nathan, Copic, Sensei Lloyd, Zarha, Gregory and Gorege around the farm. Mac came along too, lecturing them all on farming.

So she rushed after her siblings and cousin up the stairs. They motioned for her to follow them up some more stairs at the end of the hallway, these stairs were much smaller and led up to a trapdoor in the ceiling. George opened it and the four kids disappeared up it. Zephyr followed them up the stairs and through the trapdoor. She was now in an attic, a nice attic with new wood and even a window. The ceiling was tall enough that a fully grown adult man could stand comfortably and the floor was strong enough that there was no cause for concern. There was stuff all over the place on the ground and Zephyr realized that there was spots set up for sleeping with pillows and blankets and such. There was also the stuff her family had brought from Hiroshi's Labyrinth. Little Star and Reven were out of their cat carriers and were happily sitting on what appeared to be Zarha's sleeping spot. Zephyr's grandmother and grandfather, the good ones, the grandparents she had always known as her grandparents were sitting on some chairs that had been brought up to the attic. They had been talking and Gabe had been playing with some of his toys at their feet. They now starred at Zephyr though.
" You're here. " Said her grandfather.
" Yes. " Said Zephyr, she didn't know if he knew about Zephyr's other grandfather.
" Come here Zephyr. " Said her grandmother. Zephyr came closer to her and she said. " My father was an elemental master, and my son was an elemental master, it is an absolute honor that my granddaughter is also. I feel so blessed to have seen three generations of gravity masters. I'm so glad I've lived this long to know that you get the element, that I get to see you like this before the time I'm gone. I could probably go in peace now. "
" Don't talk like that grandma. " Said Zephyr quietly.
" Don't worry, it's not my time yet. I'm just tired from all the excitement recently... "
After she had spoken with her grandparents a little more, said hi to Gabe and let her siblings and cousin show her where they all slept she went back down the trapdoor and downstairs to see if the other family members had come inside yet.

Because it suits him?   ( He's named after a rooster I used to have that my brother named.   )
