Sensei Lloyd's green energy dragon flew over the forest below. It was dark and hard to see anything below, but Zephyr was determined. It was just Zephyr and Sensei who were on this particular mission, if you'd even call it that at this point. Earlier Zephyr had asked Copic if she knew the location of where she had rescued them the other night. Copic response had been. " I don't know, I used a GPS, it could have been ANYWHERE for all I know. " Zephyr's reply had been. " But don't you have a history or something on your GPS? " " Nah I delete it in case anyone is tracking my vehicle. " She had leaned over and whispered in Zephyr's ear. " Because I don't want anyone knowing about my- secret experiments... " After that she went to Sensei and asked if they could all use travelers tea to go to the den. Sensei's reply had been: " We're thankfully almost out of travelers tea, there's only about enough for one person to go somewhere and back, maybe not even that much. But I already have a plan. From what you described I believe the den is nearby. We can fly over the nearby forests to try and find their base. " So that's what they did, Sensei had decided to only take Zephyr along since Alpha wouldn't harm her and her powers could come in handy in a recuse mission. Sensei had instructed Moe, Lisa, Nathan and Copic to start getting ready to evacuate the dojo since for the time being it wasn't exactly a safe HQ at the moment. Zephyr scanned the landscape in vain, everything looked the same. " Luckily it will be light soon. " Said Sensei making the dragon turn as they reached the end of a stretch of forest. Zephyr was trying desperately to remember where the den was, but Copic was right, it really could be ANYWHERE. She just hoped they weren't to late...
As the sun started to peek over the horizon Zephyr decided to voice her fear aloud. " What if... What if we don't find them in time?..." Sensei Lloyd glanced over his shoulder for a moment and said. " Don't get me wrong, we need to find them as soon as we can. However I'm honestly not overly worried, dispite what you told me. In my experiences it seems that if friends are captured for some reason the enemy will usually try to find a reason to leave them alive. It's strange, but it always happens. Plus I know for a fact your father will likely not be harmed, I have had my own experiences with this sort of thing... " " Yeah I know, but Alpha, and the pack, they are different, smashing people is part of what they do. " Said Zephyr as cold gust of wind stun her face. " I suppose I could just be getting to desensitized to these sort of situations. " Said Sensei Lloyd thoughtfully. After a few more hours of searching Sensei suggested that they head back to the dojo to see how things were going. They landed in the back garden right by the door to the dojo. Peak flew over to them curiously. Apparently Moe had already tried everything he could to get Peak to lead the way again, however the large ravture didn't seem to understand the urgency of the situation. Lisa figured it was probably because Peak didn't see what happened in Hiroshi's Labyrinth, so he didn't understand why the humans were so worried and were bothering him about it. Zephyr jumped off the green energy dragon's back and onto the cold hard ground. In her hurry to get inside though she didn't focus on her landing and her legs screamed at her in pain for her carelessness. She quickly walked it off though as she made her way to the door and went inside. Sensei Lloyd made the dragon disappear and he landed gracefully on the stones inlaid in the ground. Zephyr went straight for her room and started packing her things into the suitcases and backpack she brought along when she had left Hiroshi's Labyrinth months ago.
*** " ...So that's all you want me to do? Protect Zephyr? " Asked Jadyn. " And her siblings if you happen to find them. I would like you to do so much more, but I know I can only expect so much of you considering the circumstances. " " So you don't trust me." Said Jadyn. " I believe that's a bit obvious. However, all things considered, I am giving you lot of freedom. You will be spending a lot of your time out and about unwatched, so be wise about it. " " Sounds like you have everything thought out. " Said Jadyn thoughtfully. " You have no idea. " Said Alpha grinning.

She threw her clothes and belongings in the bags as quickly as she could, making sure everything was accounted for. She was a bit more careful with things like her comics and hand held game device and made sure her dragon stuffed animals weren't with the dirty clothes. She then had to find a way to fit her spare ninja uniforms and some weapons in her bag. Finding that there wasn't much room left in her bags she took some clothes and a few other things out and left them behind, replacing them with her ninja gear. Once she was packed she brought her bags out to the main room. Lisa came out of her own room with her rabbit Luma in a pet carrier and large cloth bag full of stuff. " Copic should be back to pick up the last load soon. We're taking as much as we can handle just in case our wolf inspired friends come by and decided to do the same thing they did to Sensei's jet. " Said Lisa setting the pet carrier and bag down. Zephyr nodded in understanding. Lisa gave her an empathic look and then went to kitchen and started packing up the food. Zephyr got on the floor and looked into the pet carrier. Luma was up against the back of the pet carrier frozen in fear, her nose twitched quickly. She looked at Zephyr with what appeared to be an intelligent gaze. Then she thought of something about what Lisa had just said, she wasn't sure how to bring it up though. She ventured to the kitchen where Lisa was putting food in the boxes that used to hold travelers tea with surprising speed and organization. Zephyr asked the question as the words came to her. " Since Jadyn isn't here, at the moment, what about his room? " Lisa looked thoughtful for a second and then said. " We can only take so much with us, so I'm afraid we'll have to just leave it all since he's not here. However I know his collection of throwing stars means a lot to him, so I think we should at least take that with us. " " Well I'm not doing anything so I could probably get it. " Said Zephyr trying not to sound to overly eger to go in Jadyn's room. " Ok. " Was Lisa's reply as she returned her full attention back to packing the food.
Zephyr walked over to Jadyn's door and slowly opened it, some part of her half expected he'd be in there, but of course he wasn't. His room was clean except for some stuff that seemed to have been pulled out from under the bed. The target was where it always was, the shelf with the action figures on it, the posters on the wall. Everything in here reminded her of him, even the smell of the room. It all just brought the motivation to find him and her father back stronger than ever. She spotted the case Jadyn kept his throwing stars in by the target. She picked it up, it was surprisingly havey. She reminded herself that throwing stars were made of metal. As much as she wanted to dwell in there a little longer she knew she better get the case out to the main room and help out in any other way she could. Then the sooner they moved to a new location, the sooner she could sreach the planet for Jadyn, and her father. After she had put the case by the other stuff she helped pack what was left of things they needed to bring along. Soon enough Copic arrived and they loaded everything in her van along with themselves. As they drove everyone was quiet, Zephyr knew why... Moe was the one to actually finally say something about it. " Without Jadyn here it kinda feels like, I don't know, we aren't a complete team. It's just kinda strange... " " Don't worry, we'll do everything in our power to find him. Won't we Sensei? " Said Lisa. " Of course. " Replied Sensei. Copic made a lot of turns and went down a lot of out of the way roads instead of the most traveled ones. She explained that this was to throw off anyone following or tracking them. As they continued to drive along Zephyr looked out the widow lost in thought. The landscape changed as the time past, from the hills to more flat territory and more trees and plants. Zephyr hadn't realized how tierd she was till now, and without meaning to feel asleep...
Originally I think I had Copic's vehicle be a SUV but it somehow changed to a van and I can't really fix it so oh well. XP
Copic turned the van as they neared a fork in road. She had a good song in her head and would have been singing it out loud if it wasn't for everyone else being in a low mood. It's not that she wasn't worried about Jadyn, no she was very concerned about her little brother's safety. However this wasn't the first time Jadyn had gotten himself into trouble and Copic had learned very early in life that worrying to much about these kind of things just wasn't worth it. She could be worried when the time to be worried was right, and in the meantime she could think things through with smile on her face. Anyway, Zephyr seemed pretty determined to find him and Copic had a feeling she would. Copic briefly glanced at the back seat where Zephyr was, she was asleep. Next to her Lisa was sitting in silence and next to her Nathan was looking out the window. Lloyd was in the very back seat reading The Book of Spinjizu. Copic looked back at the road, Moe was sitting in the shotgun seat, he shifted in his seat and asked. " How close are we? " Copic smirked as she answered his question. " I'd say we are close enough to be considered friends, before we were aqutances, but now that we know each other well enough I'd say definitely friends. " Moe looked a little confused and slightly flustered. " Wait what? No, I ment how close are we to the new HQ. I mean we are friends but that's not what I- " She cut him off as she laughed and said. " I'm just messing with you speedy boy, I know what you meant, lighten up! We should be there any minute now. " " Oh right, that is actually pretty funny. Should you really be making jokes right now though? " He asked. " At a time like this, OF COURSE! What better time to try to keep things cheery? I say joke until the world ends! " At that moment she made a sudden turn to the right on a small road. Moe was surprised by the sudden movement for a second. " I guess that makes sense, I'll keep that in mind." Moe repiled grinning. " See? Even I can teach you a thing or two. " Said Copic winking. " I bet there's some stuff I know that you don't though. " Said Moe. " Try me. "
" Do you know how to milk a cow? By hand? " Asked Moe. " Can't say I've ever done it. " Said Copic. " I could teach you when go back to my family fram after we drop the stuff off. " Said Moe looking much more cheerful then he had earlier. " Sounds like a blast. " Said Copic grinning. It was then that they were approaching an upcoming gated community, their destination. Copic pushed a button on her keys to open the gate automatically and drove into the gated community. The gated community had five houses of average size with a traditional look to them. There was training equipment outside and peaceful gardens as well. She parked in the driveway of the fourth house in and pushed the button to close the gate. The last thing she needed was someone stealing her life's work. She turned to look at Moe, Nathan, Lisa, Lloyd and Zephyr who was just starting to wake up and said. " Here we are, home sweet home." " Where are we? " Asked Zephyr. " Welcome to the home of the ninja. " Said Copic. They brought the stuff into the living room of Lloyd's house, which was pretty tidy and empty for the most part. Copic was tempted to go check on her lab in her parents' house, but decided she'd be better off doing that later. Copic checked her watch. Rats! Fred'll be here to pick up the trash while we're gone. Unless I check the security cams later tonight, yeah I can do that while I have my midnight coffee, that'll work out nicely. Oh and after that I can work on- " Copic, let's get going. " Said Lloyd interrupting Copic's internal planing. " Aye aye captain. " Replied Copic getting into the drivers seat. She would be back here later after checking in on Zephyr's and Moe's families and possibly forming a plan.
*** Zephyr got on the floor and looked into the pet carrier. Luma was up against the back of the pet carrier frozen in fear, her nose twitched quickly. She looked at Zephyr with what appeared to be an intelligent gaze. ** " Since Jadyn isn't here, at the moment, what about his room? " Lisa looked thoughtful for a second and then said. " We can only take so much with us, so I'm afraid we'll have to just leave it all since he's not here.
