Damian slowly became aware of someone poking him and before he even woke up he was in a bad mood. He opened one eye into a slit just wide enough to glare darkly through. He had finally fallen asleep only two hours ago and now Penny stood next to him. He growled, “What!” She rocked on her feet, “We’re here. The last people on the bus.” He heaved a heavy sigh and hauled himself wearily up with a groan and a stretch. “This trip is more tiring than I figured it would be.” Hiking her backpack on it’s straps she bounced along in front of him shot back, “If you spent less time mooning over a girl and more sleeping you’d be in a better mood!” He frowned and muttered disgruntled things under his breath about her poking her nose where it wasn’t hers to poke and followed out of the bus. After a quick stop at Shing Jou Lijn’s takeout chinese restaurant and a check in-freshen up at the hotel the three piled into an average blue SUV to visit the only address King and Source were able to dig up for Cade. Gripping the wheel a little tighter than normal Damian cleared his throat. “We’ve got a checkpoint coming up. Better hand up your papers and stay still and quiet.” The car was filled with quite noises of crinkling and rustling papers as the SUV slowed down and came to a stop next to a small kiosk type thing. Lights flashed systematically and reflected against the concrete roof and the square columns holding it up. It was very open air with other building attached along side the road. Everything was painted a bland life draining beige and the design of the building is as utilitarian as it gets. Damian rolled his window down and a bored stern looking man leaned down to look in. “Papers.” The woman standing behind her male co-worker glared watchfully. The two Under-Keepers poured over every single letter and punctuation mark. Damian kept a bored look on his face. He tapped a finger on the window sill. Behind the mask sweat was beginning to slide down his collar. His documents were naturally very forged and that needed to stay a secret. Everyone watched nervously as the Under-Keepers whispered together before the man came back over. “Get out.”
