It finally struck him that he was missing Elliea. He sighed heavily. He wished he hadn’t chickened out at the airport. They had always been open and honest with each other. For years they were closer than close but when he realized that he was starting to grow to like her as more than friends he somehow couldn’t get the words out. They had had plenty of more difficult conversations. They had talked about money and pain and even what happened if one of them didn't make it. They’d propped each other up when missions went bad and when they’d lost agents. He had to admit to himself that maybe he didn’t tell her because he was afraid that closeness they had would be shattered if he went and changed their relationship now. Damian suddenly was aware that Rhett was staring at him. Damian frowned and snapped, “What.” Rhett lifted an eyebrow, “You’ve been awful all evening, penny for your thoughts.” Damian blinked twice before hesitantly muttering. “I’ve got this friend. I’m kind of concerned for him.” Rhett nodded, “Sure.... Well what about him?” Damian sighed once more, “Well he likes this girl but chickened out on telling her even though I pushed him to. He told me he’s scared of change and now I don’t really know what to tell him.” Rhett lifted both eyebrows, “Does this friend of yours have a name?” Damian gave an expressionless deadpan, “Leland...” Rhett shrugged, “Well I’d suggest that you tell him to just get it off his chest and tell her. He’s not going to be able to live working closely with her otherwise.” Damian crossed his arms, “Who says they work together?” Rhett rolled his eyes and turned to face back forward, “Right right…” Damian grumbled under his breath, “Don’t know why I told you anyways...you don’t care about......Leland.”

Great zounds Zach you are modding everything in leaps and bounds! :0
Thanks, Essa. I actually really appreciate that you noticed. I've modded almost every post in the last 16 hours totaling about 16 pages. 10 pages of which I just finished moderating right now.
Landon and Con stepped into the blazing New Zealand sun and were both immediately blinded. They kind of staggered a few steps and Landon wiped at his watering eyes as Con sneezed several times in a row. Landon shielded his eyes with a hand, “Brick, how does Alex survive here?” Con wheezed as he attempted to answer and catch his breath from the sneeze attack at the same time. “He didn’t just get off a 22 hour long dark plane ride. I’m sure we’ll appreciate this place better once we’ve adjusted.” Landon wiped his blurry eyes and walked into a shaggy bush that he smacked at instinctively. “Erhgh. I need a travel dog, he needs to be able to guide me and also provide jet lag and culture shock therapy.” Con gave a short laugh, “Brick, man I would take just a normal mutt if I could. Nexo would never have let me get….” His voice dropped as he realized what he was saying, “....get one.” Landon put a hand on his friend’s shoulder, “Nathan was a good man. He more than repaid the world for his past.” The two made their way to the hotel, changed into different civvies and hit a cafe on the seafront. Once seated at a white wrought iron table with some very powerful coffees and the sound of seagulls calling and people bustling around them Landon pulled out his phone and set it between them. “I wish we could use your phone to call him.” Con leaned his elbows on the table. “You really don’t like him do you?” Landon crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair, his eyes darkened. “Nope.” Con shrugged, “Well mine doesn’t have the proper clearance codes.” Landon sunk deeper into his sulky mood. “Like that would stop...him..” Con shrugged, “Can’t argue that point but there’s also the part where mine is kind of busted. It doesn’t call, and only texts in hour long spurts. I wish that snake hadn’t bit it.” Landon quirked an eyebrow, “That phone saved your life turning that snakebite.” Con shook his head. "I miss Ireland in it's snakeless glory." Landon smacked a hand down on his phone and sulkily began dialing Source’s number. The dial tone went one and one and both the boys started to think he wasn’t going to pick up but he did at the last second.
