My only idea was that her existence would be at stake because of Wraith, but we can do something entirely different too. OK, makes sense. Soooooo, how long would this story be? As long as we'd like I guess, I'm fine with any length. If we decide to go short it might end up a little longer considering the nature of our writing styles. But we might not want to commit to something to long either.

Yeah, keeping it from getting too long sounds like a good idea--so that would result in having a rather simple plot-line and not running off on too many tangents. So, have we established the main idea for the story and setting, or are we still working on that?

Same. Yeah, same. So: bad guy messes around with time. Ninja wanna stop them. Skylor gets involved somehow because of Wraith the ghost. How does Wraith get involved? And does it becomes obvious Skylor becomes involved in the plot by the beginning, or will that be like a plot twist saved for later?

In the idea I mentioned: Wraith tries to change the past so he is never banished to the cursed realm by Chen. ( Since he was the only one standing in the way of Chen ending up with Skylor's mother. ) By doing this, Wraith's seemingly justifiable act messes with the fact that Chen had to marry Skylor's mother in order for Skylor to exist. So it would be basic time travel drama. Of course we can change this idea or forget it if it's to pointless or complicated. Also in order for Wraith to even mess whith time he would need the help of the villain. ( But the villain would need to be motivated to do so. Like what if they were related or something? Then the villain would even have a seemingly justifiable reason for his or her actions. ) Skylor would obviously need to get involved early on. However I think we could get away with hiding the threat to her existence till later, or at least not revealing it to other characters till later. Maybe we get around it by Skylor already coming along with the ninja to try and prevent the villain from changing anything. Because the very idea of anyone changing anything in time would probably worry the ninja. Probably remembering the words of Sensei Wu " Change anything, change everything.". Maybe they could bring Skylor because they somehow know the change has something to with Chen? I don't know, these are all just ideas I'm putting on the table. We can use or not use any of them. What are your thoughts and ideas? Also, I feel like we already discussed this, but I'm going to ask anyway since I forgot. XP After what season will this take place?

What are your thoughts and ideas? Also, I feel like we already discussed this, but I'm going to ask anyway since I forgot. XP After what season will this take place? Hmmm... OK, I'm just going to repeat what you said to make sure I understand: When he was alive, Wraith was in love with the woman who would later go on to become Skylor's mother. But he was banished to the Cursed Realm, leaving Chen to swoop in. Wraith wants to not only mess with time so that he was never banished, but so that he could be with Skylor's mother. So if he succeeds, then... Skylor wouldn't exist, and possibly one or more different children would take her place as the present Master of Amber.
I do like the idea of hiding Skylor's involvement until later in the story; that makes it more compelling. Perhaps during one of the first conflicts in the story, something happens in the timeline that affects Skylor directly; whether it would be she suddenly feels pain in her chest or her hand starts going all Infinity War-sand or her hair turns to a different color, it would depend on what exactly happens between the ninja and the antagonists as they mess around with time.
Hmm, what season...? Obviously sometime post-Season 5, since that's where the audience first meets Wraith... unless the plot will be affected by the general state of the setting, I don't think it matters too much. Now, if you wanted the conclusion to involve Kai and Skylor getting together for real, then my suggestion would be post-season 9, since she re-appears after a long hiatus and then they're seen hugging at the conclusion of that season. But, again, I'm not sure it matters that much.

Boy, that could get messy timeline wise, then again a lot could, that's what we get for playing with time. Ok sounds good. Hmm yeah, we'll have to come up with what happens to her at some point. Yeah good points. I'm just asking since time is going to be a big part of it I think. Although since it is dealing with time and the main villain gets the time twins powers it should probably at least be after season 7 too.

Like, Wraith's scheme could actually work, and Skylor could suddenly disappear... and Wraith and Skylor's mother's child/ren would replace her...! That could change so much! Would that change the ToE plot? Would the new present Master of Amber be against the ninja, for them, or ambivalent? What would the ninja need to do to get Skylor back? It would probably involve destroying everything Wraith worked so hard for, including his family... O.O
Right. That makes sense. The Time Twins would only be secondary villains, right?

Yeah that would be really interesting. And it would be interesting to explore the answers to those questions through the story. I'm not sure how we'd fix everything without totally destroying it first, but that would be part of the fun. The Time Twins technically don't even need to make an appearance if someone else has their powers. Otherwise we could use them if need be. Whatever works best for the story, makes sense and is interesting to both write and read.

Makes sense. I guess if they did make an appearance, they'd be like, "Hey, those our powers!", and Wraith would say something super-cool and evil like "hippity hoppity, your power's my property" before getting rid of them somehow, maybe. Can you tell I had coffee a couple hours ago? xD
Ooh, I have another question: Would the ninja be facing any character development of their own in this story? I mean, I know they're the main characters, but I want to know if there's some story around them we can flush out during the adventure.

Yeah, time travel and changing events is is pretty advanced stuff when it comes to storytelling. A sence like that does sound like it'd fit pretty well. Yeah kinda. XD Can you tell I haven't? XD I feel there's definitely some potential for Kai, and of course Skylor. Honestly we could give character development to anyone if we did it right. Ooh, what if they are in the past or something and one of the ninja is tempted to change something, to maybe save someone they knew that passed away, or do something to give them some kind of personal benefit.
