Progress update on "In the Land of the Broken Crown": After a few weeks of not writing anything due to a combination of vacation, being busy, and laziness, I wrote a couple chapters today. I have now mostly completed 17 chapters (and the prologue). Today I wrote a scene where the Riders meet Harfor (in this world, the Marquess of Ksigyeim), and it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed writing Harfor's dialogue with the way I've characterized him.
{Click this for a super-secret, spoiler-free-ish sneak peek!} Harfor continued. “I wonder, what skills does this Eldren Mystri possess that allow him to travel in your company without a companion.”
Eldren bowed. “If I may, your lordship, I do have a companion, a horse, but I elected not to bring him on this journey, as he dislikes the water.”
“A horse, he says!” Harfor exclaimed with a laugh. “Well, Eldren Mystri, I shall not question you any further as long as you promise not to call me ‘your lordship’ again.”

No, they haven't sent any emails since the end of the school year. Of course, I think the president might have graduated, so I'm not sure who's in charge now. I like it.

None of my clubs have been active either. Presidents tend to do that. Did you have elections before you left, or will that be when school starts back up?

I don't think there was anything at the end of the year; I'm not sure what we're doing.

I know some clubs do them at the mid-point to eliminate that awkward end of the school semester or right at the start elections, so that's also a possibility.

Did you have a favorite class last semester?
I'm not sure. First semester, it was definitely my Honors Biotechnology class. Second semester, I'd have to go with General Chemistry II Lecture. It's a subject I'm interested, and I had a friend in that class to talk to.

Those would be far from my favorites, but I did have a biology class I really enjoyed thanks to a really enthusiastic teacher. It's cool that you really enjoy those subjects, shows just how different people's interests can be.
