Shall we get this up and running before it falls into limbo?
Yup! So for now, this is what we planned on: One topic roleplay for now. Everybody can make multiple characters on different sides. The HQs are one Nexus Force HQ and one Maelstrom HQ. The leaders of the Nexus Force HQ get orders from the canon faction leaders, but nobody actually plays as the faction leaders. Characters are all fanon. No Ninjago, at least for now. We didn't really discuss this, but I say we just start without it and see how it goes:). I personally don't think we should ever add it though.
So, we ready?
Got it.
Now, shall we get going before I go inactive again?

Definitely! Do you want to make the topic, or should I? Doesn't matter to me;).
~l)~/\/~/-\~ The tie between real life and legos is imagination .
We have 2 options IMO: Story-based or battle-based. In the story-based option, we have 4 HQs, one for each faction, and then create a story about fighting the Maelstrom. In the battle-based option, We have one Nexus Force HQ and one Maelstrom HQ and fight each other at different worlds. I would say we do the story-based one if we have only a few members, but the battle-based if we can get enough users to get good battles going. Or we could always do both, just doing them separate from each other. I think that would actually be a good compromise to try both:).
I'd opt for story based, seeing that's the way the original roleplay went and it turned out pretty well (albeit massively fanon)
If nobody is playing the Maelstrom, it's kinda hard to RP. Otherwise you can just make up how many enemies you fight/defeat at once.
We are doing a more story-based roleplay, so similar to an interactive story I guess. This is how roleplaying worked near the end of LURP. We kind of build on each others moves:).
We could have like a GM/ rep who will do the actions of the maelstrom.
I am seriously now wondering whether or not I should subject myself to the torture of roleplaying in the universe of a videogame I can never play again

Well, you already subject yourself to the tortue of role-playing in the universe of a LEGO theme that's been discontinued and you seem to be doing just fine.
