You always seem to have a reason to shoot my ideas down...
That's because your ideas make no sense. LEGO couldn't have shown the movie designs in the reflections because they likely weren't finished yet, and even if they were, LEGO still couldn't have shown them because it would be too early to show them. Just saying that I always shoot your ideas down proves nothing.
Um... I never said it proved anything. I was being sarcastic! You, sir, are a serious dude. Add a to your life some time!
There is no way LEGO will see this thread. It's way to small for that. The goal of this thread should be to find a way to get other people to join us in trying to get the old designs brought back. I'm aware the new designs are selling well but I'm hoping they will create some extra sets aimed towards the original fans. I doubt they'll ever change the figures back in all the sets but maybe we could get larger sets for older fans or more minifigure packs with the older designs similar to what the Bricktober pack was going to do this year. I'm also hoping that they'll change the designs in the show to be a mixture of the old and new ninja designs.
How are you even going to do that? To LEGO, all of the demands to bring back the original designs are the same as every single petition on the LEGO Message Boards that never made any influence on their decisions. Yes, people got Bionicle back after 5 years, but when it came back, it sold so poorly that it didn't even make it to the third year that was promised. You yourself even said that they would never notice this thread, so how are you going to reach out to them? We just don't have the power to bring back the original designs, so it's best to just accept the new ones.
I mean... Ninjago was going to end, and popular demand brought it back... and the fans demanded ninja hair in sets, and it became a thing... though granted LEGO had better reason to listen to those two requests than this one. All the same, I like the old designs much better and support this thread wholeheartedly. =P

So why did you say that? So that you wouldn't have to actually respond to my argument? In that case, I'll end this here, since this is wasting time. Oh, and I'm not always this serious, so what you said honestly upsets me.

The reason why fan demand could bring back Ninjago is because it was one of LEGO's most successful themes. Ninjago is doing great without the original designs, so I see no reason to bring them back.

You are, for once, in the minority on this thread. =P

Update: I am officially comfortable with Cole and Zane's new designs!

I honestly would have liked it if you could actually counter my argument. Being the only one here in favor of the movie designs doesn't make me wrong.

To be honest, being uncomfortable with the movie designs is the only basis this thread ever had.

Well, I'm still uncomfortable with most of them. DON'T SCOLD ME FANTASIUS!
Hey, I'm not scolding you. I'm just pointing out that this thread is based on disliking the movie designs rather than any actual problems with using them.

No, no, no. I wasn't saying that you scolded me. I said that because you usually scold me and then say something smart, so I was telling you not to scold me later.

I never scolded you, I just countered your points that didn't make sense to me.

There's really no need to counter your argument, nor do I think it worth the effort to do so. If you insist--the "argument" here is that the majority of us want the original designs back, and you don't. However, no amount of saying "the movie designs are selling fine!" will make any of the rest of us feel like keeping them. Moreover, the fan demand may actually affect sales: for instance, I am much more likely not to buy the post-Season 8 sets because of the new designs. If enough people don't buy as many sets, like myself, conceivably LEGO would notice. You will, of course, say "clearly that's not happening as the sets are selling well." Clearly. However, if all of us here who don't like the new designs stop buying sets, or at least buy fewer sets, that might be a start.

That's the problem. You're argument isn't based on any real problem with using the movie designs, just your dislike of them. Why should LEGO bring back the original designs just for a tiny handful of fans on the Internet? I'm not at all trying to make you like the new designs, I'm just trying to show you why this thread isn't worth the effort.
Again, Ninjago is one of the most successful themes of this year. It even outsold City, Star Wars and Superheroes. I got that from a real financial report by LEGO themselves covering their sales on January-June 2018. The sets aren't just selling well, they're selling amazingly, and if all of 4 people here who don't like the movie designs won't buy the sets, that won't make a difference.
You still hate the movie designs? That's fine! I'll let you freely express everything that you dislike about them, from Lloyd's eyes to Kai's hair. However, trying to make LEGO change them back is taking it too far. You shouldn't let the new designs completely cloud your enjoyment of the theme. In fact, why not change the new heads for the old ones? It's pretty simple.
