I think that most of us can agree that we'd like to see the original Ninja designs come back. I've given the new designs a chance but even after a year with them they still don't work for me. If you all feel the same way then let's work on a way to get LEGO to notice and bring back the original look!
Firstly, the chance of LEGO noticing this thread is incredibly rare. This community is very small compared to other fansites, and some of the forums have barely any activity at all. I remember that Koolkanin joined this place, but he hasn't posted in over a year now. Even if every single member here joined this, LEGO probably still wouldn't notice this.
Secondly, it's too late now. The movie designs have been used for over a year now, and LEGO clearly has no interest in changing them back. It's definitely worked out for them, since they said that Ninjago benefitted from the movie, and later on, they said it was one of the best selling themes of the first half of this year. What's the point of going back to the old look when using the new look has been a success?
I get that the movie designs are hard to get used to for some people, but it's simply not worth it to make such a step backwards to appeal to a few fans on the Internet.

Well, actually we could ask lego if they could bring it back. Just do what I did when I asked if the galleries could come back (read "The gallery chat room" to understand what I mean.). If we had enough people to ask, Lego could consider. And before you say anything, fantasius, I know I hate on the new designs a whole lot.

If we did, they would say no, for all of the reasons I brought up. Ninjago is still going strong, so going back to the old designs would just cause confusion and wouldn't help at all.

I haven't seen the leaks, but one of the next Ninjago waves will feature several remakes of classic sets.
I forget what people said the designs are - I think they may be mash-ups of more modern designs.
If I recall right, the headgear will be more classic than the movie molds - though hearkening more towards the ones from 2012.

Hmmm... well, if you have watched that one episode from season 5 when the ninja look into their future, you will notice that all of their reflections have the old designs.

I have seen the leaks, and the movie designs will be used. Oh well, them being remakes of older sets should have enough of a nostalgic factor.

Why do people still care about the future reflections? They haven't been important at all besides foreshadowing Cole's ability to turn invisible...but now that Cole can't turn invisible, the reflections did nothing besides creating a continuity error. And yes, I know that the future version of Jay will come in a minifigure pack, but that's just because LEGO wanted to give us a cool minifigure.

You always seem to have a reason to shoot my ideas down...

There is no way LEGO will see this thread. It's way to small for that. The goal of this thread should be to find a way to get other people to join us in trying to get the old designs brought back. I'm aware the new designs are selling well but I'm hoping they will create some extra sets aimed towards the original fans. I doubt they'll ever change the figures back in all the sets but maybe we could get larger sets for older fans or more minifigure packs with the older designs similar to what the Bricktober pack was going to do this year. I'm also hoping that they'll change the designs in the show to be a mixture of the old and new ninja designs.

That's because your ideas make no sense. LEGO couldn't have shown the movie designs in the reflections because they likely weren't finished yet, and even if they were, LEGO still couldn't have shown them because it would be too early to show them. Just saying that I always shoot your ideas down proves nothing.

How are you even going to do that? To LEGO, all of the demands to bring back the original designs are the same as every single petition on the LEGO Message Boards that never made any influence on their decisions. Yes, people got Bionicle back after 5 years, but when it came back, it sold so poorly that it didn't even make it to the third year that was promised. You yourself even said that they would never notice this thread, so how are you going to reach out to them? We just don't have the power to bring back the original designs, so it's best to just accept the new ones.

Alone we don't have the power to do it. As I said earlier the goal of this thread is to find ways for to get more people to join us outside of this thread. Ninjago is not a retired theme and the designs have only been gone for a year. I don't think this would fail like Bionicle.

Again, how are you going to do that? It's not like the whole fanbase is going to join you in this, because not every Ninjago fan shares your dislike of the movie designs. This is just like all those petitions on the original LEGO Message Boards that never accomplished their goal, and those were on a community run by LEGO themselves while this is on a fansite. Oh, and Ninjago was one of the most successful themes this year, so how long the movie designs have been used for doesn't matter.
