I was never super active here. I helped out with a few things behind the scenes, and helped to make some decisions about the site early on. It was a fascinating time, though. A lot of innovation, a lot of people working together, and a lot of people... well, not working together. It hasn't all been great, but through it all I've made a few new friends, some of whom I still talk with outside of LMBE. I want to thank all of those who made my time here an enjoyable experience.
Since this was meant to be the spiritual successor of the LEGO Message Boards, and I am officially leaving it behind, I also want to say one more goodbye to the LEGO Message Boards. They played a huge part in my growing up. I learned so much about people, about working together, about creativity, and about friendship. Even now, many of the friends I talk with daily are people I met on LEGO.com, whether they came to LMBE or we found each other elsewhere.
I myself am off on new adventures, and it's time to leave this place, along with some unfortunate emotional baggage, behind. The best parts I still carry with me, and they continue to lift my spirits and my creativity every day. I also have one last thing to leave behind... my name.
I created the name TopSecretSpyGuy when I joined the LEGO Message Boards. Not the most creative name, and it doesn't exactly roll of the tongue, either but it carried me through the... five years, I believe... until the LMBs closed. It continued with me to this site, and many have known me by it. This is the last site where I have used it, and I finally bid farewell to the title.
These days I go by Topplenaut. I'm pretty easy to find by that name. Maybe I'll see some of you around the internet sometime.
At least one thing stays the same. You can always call me Top.
