Crawling under tables and dodging the body of a knocked out patron flying across the room, Rose manages to make it out of the Tavern. She catches sight of two men, fellow guards of Varlamane only more lowly, about to set fire to her cart. One is carrying a lit torch while the other, a shorter lad, tries digging through her things.

Finding nothing to his fancy, he turns to meet the scowling face of her horse, Erin. Displease with their intrusion, he snorts a furious breath of air from his nostrils and nips at him. The guard draws back and calls for his friend, but he had been kicked by Erin some time ago. Frightened, the guard offers hay, but Erin simply smiles in the unusual way animals smile.

Rose, still standing at the entrance of the Tavern, casually leans on the right side and begins counting to three. The guard soon comes flying over her head and lands into a pile of fertilizer. Walking up to Erin with a skip in her step, Rose feeds him a carrot and gets into the driver seat.

Rose: "And they didn't grab any of my things?"

Erin nods no. 

They both leave the Tavern, awaiting any news that will embark them on a new adventure.
