Ornan enters the Tavern, then takes a seat in the far corner again.
A man dressed in rags enters the Tavern. His dark hair and beard, oily and clearly unwashed, hang well past his shoulders. He takes a seat at a table in the corner and one of the servers brings him a drink.

OOC: I have two reactions, but which one to choose depends on whether the man took a seat at Ornan's table in the corner or a different corner table. Which one is it?

What appears to be a knight arrives in the tavern and starts playing polka in the middle of the establishment. Anyone who tries to stop him get told something to the effect of, "I'm dexterous enough to play an accordian in full platemail, am armed with a spear. Why are you bothering trying to stop me?" before continuing to play his tune.
OOC: not a character I seriously intend to use. I'm done with self-insert at the moment. Just thought I'd fill the apparent need for a "jester"
I'll keep playing music so long as the character is welcome. But don't expect any backstory or story arcs.

OOC: That's too bad. I really way waiting for a deep back story.

OOC: I mean, quite honestly, the character I've had in the past have too much history for me to bring them here. I also perceive them as having more power than everyone else, which keeps me from being able to RP effectively. Ackar represents a fresh start from me. Something rooted in an established history that is nostalgic for me (he was my first max-level WoW character at one point), but something malleable enough that I can comfortably go through the experience of working him into this universe without expecting too much or too little from him.

OOC: That's a dandy new start.
OOC: 'Tis! Here's hoping I can get some good use out of Ackar!
Fun fact: the name comes from a period of my life where I would just straight up name my WoW characters after whatever Bionicle sets were being sold at the time. In spite of having a completely unoriginal name, however, Ackar has taken on his own identity in recent years. I've used him for so long that I no longer think of BIONICLE when I talk about "Ackar". The only thing I think about when somebody says "Ackar" is my Tauren death knight.
So yeah, like I said: enough history behind him to be nostalgic... but he's fresh enough for me to not expect too much of him.
OOC: Apologies, I haven't been very active recently. Due to stuff I'm too slack to list in detail, I'm gonna bow out of a few RPs (and I'm only in two, so really I'm bowing out of all of 'em ). So, adieu, and may the Castle RP CONtinue being awesome without me.
