"Since the loss of King Darthraxx, no one has held the throne. I have taken it upon myself to bear this responsibility in light of this absence, but I cannot say who would step forward if I were indisposed. As to your first question, treasonous behavior would be that which works against the best interests of this kingdom, including supporting Lord Ackar or removing our forces in the Ruins."
"Understood. What exactly did Lord Ackar do?"
"He tried to work against the best interests of the kingdom by supporting a withdrawal of our presence in the Ruins up north. When I disagreed, he rallied soldiers against me and attempted to steal power for himself."

"I see... For what reason is it so important to not withdraw from the Ruins?"

"All of the Southern Kingdoms have been stagnant for centuries. Without ability to expand or progress, it's only a matter of time before we collapse. The invasion by the Xain Empire is proof of that. It wiped out our armies, destroyed the predecessor to this very castle, and left all three kingdoms leaderless for a time. By taking the Ruins, we can prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again."

"Alright, understood. Let's get started as soon as possible."

"Yes sir." After they are done Ariel rejoins the other soldiers. He listens to nearby conversations and watches each individual for any sgins of treasonous behavior.

He does notice that some of them seem less pleased by recent events than others, but none yet display the types of behavior Lord Amvion taught him to watch out for.

In the meantime he decides to try to gain their trust so that maybe a few will let their guard down.

His attempts seem to go well.
Is there anything specific he wants to do for this purpose?

When he notices they seem to have their guard down he speaks to them privately and brings up conversations and questions that he hopes will reveal any hidden intentions.

This will take some time, but he is able to slowly gain the confidence of several members of the guard. Most of them seem worried about what's happening, and confused. The loudest continue to assert the might of Amvion, but they are outnumbered by those who look to the defection of so many people in power and fear for the future of the kingdom. A few a disparaging towards Amvion, blaming him for this unsteadiness and questioning his reliance on the young and hotheaded Captain Jeorge.

After awhile of gathering all this information he decides to attempt to speak with Captain Jeorge himself.

As he recalls, Captain Jeorge has left the castle to search for the escapees. He can talk to Lord Amvion, or he can try to talk to one of the other ranked soldiers who work closely with Jeorge.

OOC: Oh right. XD
IC: He does the latter.
Ariel knows who to talk to, having been informed previously be Lord Amvion. After he informs a Lieutenant Paige he can notice that Jeorge's known loyalists are present at more gatherings and in larger numbers. Those who spoke out openly disappear from the rest one by one. On occasion, Ariel spots one of them around the castle, not as a guard, but most he does not see again.
