It is early in the afternoon, and Lord Amvion has just finished preparing the letters for the Lion and Shadow Kingdoms. Soon, he hopes, a meeting will be arranged, and he can unveil his plan for the end of the Treaty of Kasp. He has been working on this for weeks, preparing everything perfectly, for he knows the future of the Dragon Kingdom rests on this meeting. As he sends the messengers away with the letters, he allows himself a sigh of relief.
OOC: What would you like to do now? You can talk to Ackar and/or Xavic and/or Captain Jeorge (who has been very helpful throughout this process), or you can find something else to do.

Lord Amvion sent Ackar to talk to Captain Jeorge, and appointed the minotaur as a dragon rider because yeet
Ackar finds Jeorge outside the castle, overseeing the soldiers' training. He turns and bows shallowly when he sees the minotaur approaching. "Lord Ackar. How can I help you?"
OOC: Sorry, Xavic's still around, and he's still the Dragon Rider.

Lord Amvion decreed there shall be two because the dragon knights need more dragons to be called dragon knights
Ackar was not exactly amused by Captain Jeorge's shallow bow, and snorted gruffly upon seeing it.
"I wish for a report on the status of the meeting, and of the current stance of the Forest Band on the issue of our outpost in the ruins."

OOC: No. Trust me, you don't want a dragon right now anyway.
IC: "Very well, my lord. Last I heard, Lord Amvion was working on missives for the Lion and Shadow Kingdoms to invite them to the meeting. He hopes to hold it within the next few days. As far as I know, the Forest Band is still opposed to our presence. Is that all, my lord?"

OOC: ...Why?
IC: "...That is all."
The minotaur paused, for a few moments.
"...What would it take.... to pull out from the ruins?" He asked out of seemingly mere curiosity.

OOC: Secret stuff related to the finale of the RP.
IC: Jeorge thinks for a minute. "Now that you mention it, my lord, troublingly little. We only have, what, less than a score of troops there, so an order from Lord Amvion could have everything out very quickly. I should discuss that with him when next we speak."

"I suggest you do so... I suspect it to be unwise to hold contested territory when it is of little value to us. I have good men under my command, and I shan't see them die for the mere pride of a power hungry despot."
He left to wherever he lived/slept, having brazenly given his two cents

Jeorge dismisses the soldiers he is training and goes to speak to Lord Amvion.
OOC: You know, since Ackar and Amvion are so opposed on this, I think it might be easiest if I controlled Amvion.

OOC: Quick question: how many Dragon Knights do you figure are loyal to Ackar? XD
OOC: Of the 100 they can muster right now, maybe 20 would follow him personally if he commanded it.
OOC: Ah
IC: Lord Ackar... meanwhile, summons his twenty most trusted and loyal knights... and takes them outside the castle to speak with them.
"My fellow knights. You know me. We have fought and trained together for many moons... and now, our kingdom faces a dire choice. As I speak, we occupy land that does not rightfully belong to us, and holds no strategic value. Lord Amvion would have us remain there, and risk war.... a war we are prepared for, but a war nonetheless."
He paused.
"There is but one course of action that I see.... and it is thus, my friends:"
"Lord Amvion must be contested in this flagrant course of action. For the good of the kingdom -- we must offer a voice of descent against his selfish aims."
"What say you, my fellow knights? Wouldst thou dare to indulge me in some, to put it crudely: political cow pie?" He said as a jest aimed at his own bovine nature, in an attempt to add some comic relief to the dire situation.

OOC: I'll leave you with control of these knights and their reactions. Once you take action, I'll react to that with the other characters.

OOC: Oh
IC: They cheered, I guess
Ackar proceeded to undertake his own political agenda, and contacted the Lion and Shadow Kingdoms himself, sending missives with his own proposal that the Treaty of Kasp be... upheld.
