Right let's see, Marik, Camalen, Oma? As far as ideas... you could do someone that's missing an arm or something. (Is this any help, or should I stop?)
I like those. I've done that kind of thing already. Thanks for your help! I think I should have enough now.
Right-o. Sure thing! If you need any thing else you know who to tagg. =)
Are there any particular corruptive or dark magics in this universe? Besides necromancy which if I remember correctly was strictly banned
I would say that any of the magic systems could be corruptive, depending on how they are used. Many of those uses (such as necromancy) probably won't be allowed, just because I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable participating the RP, but if there are probably some things that would be fine. If you're thinking about some type of magic in particular, let me know, and I can tell you if and how it could be implemented.

Are you familiar with fel magic? It often takes the form of green fire and has a tendency to corrupt the body with glowing green eyes, boils, or cracks in the skin and other features. In the context of the game I am familiar, it was invented and primarily used by a faction of chaotic and destructive otherworldly beings. I don't know how that would translate here though. Perhaps a certain region of the forest could inspire some sort of green-colored magic that dealt with poison and poorly understood destructive energies?
My idea for my character is essentially that he lived with a tribe in the south that was wiped out by the Xain invasion, and he would have developed this magic to survive, and has become addicted to its use. He would be aligned with the Forest Band, and would be kind of a bold and reckless brat
Side-question: would an archer class character be allowed to fight with a non-throwing spear?

I would probably consider that a form of New Magic that could be extant in a small region due to some ancient conflict.
I see your character is Sulegal, and that's fine. Perhaps some small offshoot has been living in the Forest (there's lots of space there for unknown groups). They maybe participated in the war, but maybe they were attacked by the surviving Xain soldiers who fled north. There is currently a high level of tension between humans in particular and species like orcs, goblins, and trolls. One group, called the Order of the Dove, which includes both former Xains and other like-minded people, has repeatedly undertaken attacks against other species. His tribe could have been lost during one of those.
That's fine. The classes are mainly just suggestions to keep characters from being too powerful.

Alright then his backstory is that his father was a mystic for the tribe, and he learned his magic by communing with a part of the Forest that had previously been forbidden to him. He would have used this power for his survival, and have fled to the point where he would've met the Forest Band along the way. He likely would have fought against the Order of the Dove at some point, and have demonstrated brutalistic and violent tendencies whilst doing so.
His magic has corrupted his appearance somewhat, glowing green cracks are showing on his horns and hooves, and his eyes are a very strong green compared to what they should be.
He will have developed a disgust towards spirituality due to his father's failure to protect them. And is marked by a degree of recklessness and youthful brazen haste.

Okay, cool. The Order of the Dove is also responsible for wiping out the Kaspik Wardens, for the record, so that's important.

yisrael2 : Let's move over here to discuss the RP.
Yes, the Abandoned Fortress quest is canon, and it's been a few years since then. A lot of big things have happened in the Southern Kingdoms since then -- there was a near-apocalyptic event shortly after the quest, and a devastating attempted invasion from across the sea over a year ago. However, as Blaze has not been around, this will not affect him greatly.
I will use the backstory of an old character named Valithor Icebeard, who served as the Black Knight until after the invasion, for the next part. A few years ago, not long after the Abandoned Fortress quest, the Black Knight and a few others set out to face a Manticore in the Plains. Blaze would have been one of those. Only one person returned from the expedition, reporting that the Black Knight had fallen. After this, Valithor took up the mantle until his disappearance. However, the truth may lie elsewhere, and only Blaze would know for sure. We can discuss what that is if you'd like.
A few months ago, a man claiming to be that very same Black Knight returned to the Shadow Kingdom and instituted a tyrannical reign, oppressing anyone who doubted or spoke out against him. Eventually, rebellion ensued, led by members of the Black Knights own Shadow Guard. After a rough battle, the rebels fled to a secret hideout and gained the assistance of mercenaries. The Black Knight was eventually able to find their location and led what remains of his army (around 50 soldiers, comparable to the rebels) to face them. He plans on eradicating them utterly, including civilians.
So, with Blaze returning, our task is to decide what happened on that trip and whether this so-called Black Knight is the real deal. Much like the man he claims to be, he refuses to remove his helmet, but this could also serve to disguise the truth. Time travel is a possibility and it has been explored in the RP before, but I'll need to approve any ideas you have.
If you want information about recent events outside of the Shadow Warriors, let me know and I can provide that. Feel free to ask any questions you have.

Well two quick things for starters. 1) Should I scrounge to see if there are any archives with Blaze in it (?), so that maybe I could use something from there? 2) Should I post ideas for plot twists in jammers, so as not to spoil it?
Also I do vaguely remember the time travel in the old RP, and I have a couple ideas that I think could work, especially now that I know how much time has passed. However at the same time I feel like time travel could possibly detract from the story depending on how its used. Do you have a personal preference as to whether or not it will be used?
Also, do you prefer the Black Knight be real or not...because Ima just throw out a possibility, perhaps one you've thought of already...

{JAMMERS! -RuleJJ- ONLY!} Maybe the REAL Black Knight should show up.
1. I don't think there are, but I have saved all of the posts from the Abandoned Fortress quest, so I can give you a bit of information from that if you need it. 2. Good idea.
Let me know what your specific plans are and I will decide.
{JAMMERS! -yisrael2- ONLY!} I would say the options are either the person claiming to the Black Knight is telling the truth or the Black Knight is smashed or indisposed in some way so that he will not return.

{JAMMERS! -yisrael2- ONLY!} Purely from a logistical note, that can't happen. Everything is going to go down within a week or so. It would be easiest if Blaze just shows up and gets involved with the current events, bringing with him whatever knowledge of the Black Knight's truth that he has.

{JAMMERS! -RuleJJ- ONLY!} Oh, I didn't know that. I was thinking of some flashback or something on my part just as the end of my character's tale. I don't have many out-of-the-box ideas if that's the case. Hmm...mind if I make it that Blaze has gone mad or something along those lines?
