CHAPTER 1 The militants crouched beside the back garden, undeterred by the buckets of rains and sleet being unloaded upon them. The team leader motioned to the group and skulked inside the garden and into the unlocked rear door. Once inside, the troops found themselves in complete darkness. They engaged their inferred lasers simultaneously, jostling for space in the cramped kitchen. The team leader pressed his earpiece and awaited further instructions. The earpiece buzzed. "Continue your assault, Captain Slater. Miss Waller requires the assailant alive." "Roger that." Captain Slater whispered."Thanks,Colonel Flag." The group of five shuffled up the staircase to the assailant's bedroom. The captain opened the door and they crept inside. Clothes were strewn in various areas along the silk carpet. A pizza box with half of its contents still remaining was tossed upon a black leather cushioned couch. Then Barry Allen, sleeping sound, almost comatose. The captain nodded and two of the men went to snatch him from his bed. One reached for Barry Allen, his hand going through his chest. The captain furrowed his brow. The Barry in the bed was a speed force mirage! The door locked behind them. The captain frowned. Suddenly, two red gloved hands were around his chest and he was thrown through the door resulting in a splintering smash. The two attempting to lift the mirage Barry out of bed opened fire. Barry dodged the bullets easily and kicked the one on the left in the face into the wall. The Flash then bounced on the bed then flipped into the solider waiting tentatively to run in quick succession. The final soldier slid slowly into the guest bedroom, desperately attempting to open the window to escape. Barry snatched him away and flung him into the wall. He slapped cuffs on each of the troops and tied them to a streetlight outside. "Sorry, gentlemen, but tonight is not your night!" The Flash smirked smugly. Then Barry rushed back into the house. His friend Cisco Ramon walked downstairs. "Thanks for letting me crash here, Cisco." Barry said. "Good luck on the run,Barry." Then Barry dashed out the door and onto the open road. He was safe..for now.

CHAPTER 2
A heavy artillery siege began on Central City the night after Barry Allen escaped the humble Ramon homestead. Souped-up anti-aircraft cannons sat expectantly on the roads leading toward the city. Heavily armed tanks patrolled the city by night and by day 4x4 jeeps transporting soldiers were on duty. These were to instill fear into Central City's inhabitants, forcing them to provide the militia with any information on the Flash's whereabouts. The C.I.A expected the siege to trigger an insolent rage in the Flash, to draw him back to the city. They had captured Iris West, her father Joe, Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow and all others with any meaningful relationship with the Flash for questioning. Since his father Henry's passing, the C.I.A had been granted restricted access to the Allen homestead, allowing them to hunt the house for any clues. Soon all the city's homes were searched. Then the shops, then the businesses, anywhere and everywhere in a futile attempt to find the Flash.
And where was the Flash?
Nowhere.
Ramon, being the last person to see him, had not been informed of Allen's future plans as a fugitive. His friends and family merely scoffed at how much effort the military were exerting to discover the Flash's location, something that would possibly elude them forever.
Amanda Waller detested waiting. She had one option.

Five, perhaps.
I love that ending there.

CHAPTER 3
*SMASH*
Barry Allen’s eyes darted towards the source of the commotion. His heart racing, he zoomed into the allocated crate containing his costume. Now in costume, The Flash dashed toward the unhinged door and entered into...
an unforgiving blue void.
Barry grasped the doorframe as he almost instinctively thrust his chest forward, assuming that there was a street or road or something in front of him. But no. The Flash had a vague recollection of entering his current location.
THE SPEED FORCE.
Inaccessible by any mortal means. Untouched by militants and by any governing body. Undetectable by radar or sonar technology. The place Waller craved to access, yet never knew that it would yield her the location of her target.
Barry grinned in self satisfaction.
Then something glimmered in the corner of his eye.
