I think I'll wait until Friday or Saturday to post the meet -- if RLROCKS18 doesn't return by then curse you IRL let her go *sobs* then I'll go ahead and post it and we'll start discussing, and she's welcome to join in anytime she likes. I'm not trying to leave anyone behind, but I think in order to keep the club progressing at a steady and active rate we should go by majority rules sometimes.
Anyways. Yeah. That's about it.

Hello, one and all, and welcome to the official first discussion portion of the first meeting of the Disney Movie Club!
Club members:
Gnuehchcaz LordTigress RLROCKS18 RomeNZ bun02
For our first movie assignment, we all watched Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Right? Right. We good? Right Now, it's time to sit back, have some popcorn and gummy bears (because, I mean, come on -- they're gummy bears) and discuss the movie, in a very scientific and analyzing kind of way.
Pfffft I hope you didn't take that seriously how long have you known me
Here's some questions for you to answer, to get the discussion going.
1. Favorite scene? 2. Favorite song? 3. Favorite character? 4. Most magical moment? 5. The dwarf you think you're most like?
And my answers, to start us off...
1. The spontaneous dance/karaoke party after dinner, with inclusion of "The Silly Song." This entire scene just makes me laugh; it reminds me of the first times I ever watched Snow White (it was always one of my staple Disney movies ), and the whole thing has such a Disney charm to it that I really love.
2. "Whistle While You Work." I love this song.
3. I think it's a tie between Doc and Dopey.
4. The ending scene, where Snow White is woken up and everything beyond that. It has an overwhelming feel of nostalgic classic Disney, which obviously also makes it very magical.
5. I added this question in specially for this particular discussion, if you couldn't tell. I'd like to say Dopey, but I talk way too much to be him. XD I would definitely have to say Happy, we're very much alike.
Well, there we go! You all are welcome to add any questions or thoughts you'd like; just get the discussion started!

*When it's been so long since you saw it you forget everything*
1. I think, my favourite scene is probably when the woodland creatures helped Snow White clean the cottage. Apart from the satisfaction of tidying everything up , the character that they managed to convey with creatures truly demonstrated Walt's creative skill as much as animation technology would allow. It may seem simple nowadays, but it has a quality and uniqueness that really makes it a splendid production.
2. "With a Smile and a Song" - beautifully simple; the song of a girl who was forced to live a poor life yet still manages to find happiness.
3. That freaky-lookin' spider You'd think this would be easy. XD Umm... Probably Doc. The leader of the dwarfs is a bit of a fumbler at times and (like me ) mixes up words when trying speak, though he means well.
4. When the dwarfs mourned Snow White and the ending scene. The devotion of the little men to their new friend is touching as I understand it better.
5. All of them. Probably Doc again, sorry minus the leader attribute. I'd say I'm usually a mild-mannered fellow who sometimes mixes up words but means well all the same and looks out for his friends like the dwarf. Though I need an outside view to confirm.
~ ~ ~ Great choices! I agree the dance scene is very delightful. It had me grinning all the way through with it's merry charm and Walt's good-natured humour. The end scene is great! A classic, if not the classic. I'd say you're very much like Happy. Your enthusiastic positivity makes you instantly likeable, much like the dwarf.

Well, there we go! You all are welcome to add any questions or thoughts you'd like; just get the discussion started! I agree, you're very much like Happy. You have some good favorites. I'd forgotten about all the funny bits of this movie, they took me by surprise -- though I think I laughing more than my siblings Mock and Narwhal were. I think Narwhal was left slightly traumatized by the Evil Queen and the vultures.
As for me. . . 1. Hmm, there were several good ones I liked. . . Karaoke party was fun, and I liked how creepy the scene was where the Evil Queen went down to the dungeon and transformed into the old hag. (HER CAPE -- IT'S SO AWESOME -- THEY WAY IT JUST MOVES -- I WANT THAT CAPE ) Maybe my favorite scene was when the dwarves were washing up, and Grumpy's being all Oscar the Grouch about it, so the other guys finally jump him and drag him kicking and screaming into the tub -- it was like a horror movie, but funnier.
2. My favorite song could have been "Hi-Ho", cuz it's a classic and it's just a fun, jolly marching song.
3. Grumpy. He had so many great lines and roasts.
4. Uhhh, I guess technically when the Prince kissed Snow White and carried her off was pretty "magical", though I guess magical for me would be when she was fleeing through the scary forest, or when the dwarves were chasing the Evil Queen up the slippery mountainside in the rain. (Define "magical", Tigress. ) The animation was just so cool, especially considering the times and what material they had. . .
5. Grumpy. I'm telling you, Grumpy's my spirit animal!! --Or the Evil Queen, but I personally don't think I'm that high-strung about my looks.
