Temptation felt his pale cheeks flush with heat, and he suddenly didn't feel quite so confidant. He had this whole creepy-whispering thing about darkness and light that he'd been practicing in the bathroom mirror for like two weeks, but now his mind was more blank than a loading bar when the WiFi is out.

She eventually asked, "Ooh, those cookies look delicious, may I have one?" Temptation felt conflicted. He would become successful if she took one and fell under his spells, but for the first time in his life, he felt bad about being bad.
