Finally another part! Sorry for the long wait. For the past week, I was putting school first since it was my last week with exams and projects, but I think I finished strong and now I got the time to write another part!
Oh, yeah, no problem! Thanks for keeping with it! ^.^
The knight who led the archers thought of an idea. "Aim for the base of the tentacle!" In unison, the archers pointed at the base of the tentacle where it connects to the rest of the body.
The knight signaled by raising his sword high and swung down, and all of the archers released their arrows. Temptation was already running down to where Dr. Farthingworth was and saw the arrows fly above him and land at the base of the tentacle. They didn't pierce the skin, but they still hit very hard and the tentacle loosened its grip on Dr. Farthingworth.
Dr. Farthingworth squealed as he fell from as high as a building. Temptation ran as fast as he could trying to make it to Dr. Farthingworth's landing point before he could crash to the ground. Temptation's heart raced extremely quickly, knowing that someone's life was at stake.
Temptation held his arms out to catch Dr. Farthingworth, and just in time he caught him, but with Dr. Farthingworth weight suddenly being pushed on Temptation's arms, he fell forward and bruised his arms on the rocks. Luckily he wasn't hurt too bad, but just a few scrapes.
"Good catch, Temptation." Dr. Farthingworth said as he got up and brushed his arms of the dirt. "You're welcome." Temptation said as he let out a sigh of relief now knowing that Dr. Farthingworth is alright.
Lord Fear let out a screech as the rest of his body seemed to stare down at Temptation and Dr. Farthingworth. Temptation and Dr. Farthingworth looked at each other and booked it. Temptation had to climb up a bit of the hill again, but luckily this time the archers had let down a rope to make it easier to climb up.
A tentacle had almost reached both of them, but the archers continued to fire to protect them.
They both got up on the hill, and Temptation rejoined with Joy, but they both looked at Lord Fear wondering what to do. All of a sudden behind them a whole line of catapults and carts of ammunition rolled in.
"Finally, time to bring out the big bows." Joy said. "Umm, I wouldn't really describe them as bows." Temptation replied. "Maybe there will be a better term to describe them in the future." She replied.

1. Indeed. 2. Nice. XD
1. Yep. 2. Thanks. She predicted the future of modern weapons.

The order "fire!" was given. With creaking groans and clunks the catapults released; enormous stones flew through the night sky like pale missiles. Some flew beyond the hill while the majority smashed into the monster that was Fear. He grunted and screeched as wounds tore into his slimy flesh, but he didn't stop. The muscular tentacles pulled him up the rocky mountainside slowly but steadily, drawing nearer and nearer to the line of defiant slaves and King's soldiers. Horses whinnied in fear and pulled against their riders' reins. "He's not stopping!" Joy realized. "He has to..." Temptation murmured bleakly. He couldn't take his gaze away from the massive beast moving itself up the hillside like a pale parasite. Joy looked at him desperately. This wasn't working. They had to think of something else. "Is there any way we can change him back into a human?" "No--" "Yes, there is!" Dr. Farthingworth interjected, coming in between them. Face sweating, he reached into the folds of his alchemist cloak and pulled out a small bottle. Clear liquid glinted in the starlight. "I have an antidote with me! I took it with me from the lab, in case anything went wrong." "Well, things have definitely gone wrong," Temptation muttered, keeping his eyes on Fear. "Could we just throw it at him?" "No can do. He must swallow it." Marty frowned. "I don't know how we're going to get the potion into his mouth." "He won't let me near him if he sees me coming," Temptation thought out loud. "Joy. Will you help the soldiers in distracting him? See if you can remove a tentacle or two." Anxiety twisted Joy's features as she peered at him. "What-- what are you going to do?" With shaking hands he took the antidote from Marty. "I'm gonna get up there and get this into his mouth." Her gaze flickered back and forth from him to the monster screeching at the missiles hitting him. "You're going to--? That's crazy! You'll get yourself--!" "None of us are going to last long if we don't take him out now!" He took a deep breath. "If this doesn't work, then-- then get up to a higher place, try to shoot him down from there." He looked to Marty. "Keep her safe."

He's thinking of possibly sacrificing himself, isn't he... O.O

"I will." Marty said as he grabbed Joy's hand and took her away. Temptation ran towards the catapults. He went to the closest one and told them his request.
"Aim for the head, and launch once you predict he will start looking this way." Temptation commanded. "Yes, Temptation." One of the catapult managers replied, then signaled the closest catapult to aim.
"Let me help you guys." Temptation said as he went to the rear of the catapult to load a boulder.
"Wind it up!" The catapult manager said, and the rest of the team wound up the catapult until they it was wound to the maximum power.
"Ready..." The catapult manager said, holding his hand up as a signal. He stared at the head of Lord Fear the Maximus Tentaculous, focusing until he could predict that it was going to look at the catapult. What felt like minutes, went by in a few seconds, and Lord Fear began to turn his head towards the catapults as he fought the other troops with his tentacles.
"Fire!" He shouted, and he pointed his arm out in command. The catapult was launched immediately. The catapult manager looked at the arc of the shot, and saw that it was aiming right for Lord Fear's head.
"Good aim guys. What did you think, Temptation?" He asked. A few seconds later, he heard no reply. "Temptation?" He asked again.
He turned his head around to see that Temptation was gone. The other soldiers operating the catapult were confused as well. The catapult manager looked at the boulder they just launched, and they suddenly saw a figure grasping onto it as it was flying towards the head of Lord Fear.
"WE JUST LAUNCHED TEMPTATION!" He screamed. "WHAT?!?!?!?!" They all gasped.
Temptation's eyes were wide open. He was holding onto the flying boulder with all of his might. He could only see a bit past the edge of the boulder, but he knew in a few seconds it would smash right into Lord Fear's head.
"3...2...1..." Temptation counted as he braced for impact. The boulder crashed right onto the side and disintegrated into a million pieces. Temptation faceplanted right into Lord Fear's squishy yet durable forehead. This was the closest he was going to get to reaching Lord Fear's head unnoticed.
