Greed closed the doors behind him and faced Joy, who looked gloom, with some tears from her eyes.
"Hello, my dearly lovely Joyly." He said. "Don't call me that." Joy replied as she faced away from him.
"Have a drink, you must be thirsty." "I don't want anything to drink."
"Joy, you haven't drank anything for a while. Your throat must be dry." "Greed, I know what's in that drink, and I'm not having it."
"Oh, well, it looks like I'll just have to make you drink it..."
Greed ran towards Joy, but Joy could sense his oncoming presence and quickly evaded him. Despite wearing a large dress, she stuck her foot out and tripped Greed, making him fall. He crashed onto the ground and saw the silver bottle fly into the air. He grabbed it before it could hit the floor. Joy ran to the other side of the room and grabbed a nearby candle. She held it in front of herself like she pointed a sword.
"I see you're still quick on your feet even wearing that heavy dress." Greed said as he got up and gripped the bottle. "Large dresses aren't gonna stop me. Now face the power of this candle!" She said as she pointed the candle even closer to Greed to where the flame was right under his chin.
Greed took a step back and blew the candle out.
"Oh, that was good." Joy said. She threw the candle at him and turned around and tried to run toward the locked doors. Greed walked towards her while she was pushing and pulling against the handles of the doors. It didn't budge, and Greed was now right behind her.
"Looks like you're trapped." He said.
Joy attempted to strike him, but blocked her arm and held it in an uncomfortable position. Joy struggled to break free and gasped for help, but she couldn't do anything except fall to the floor. Greed moved closer, opened the bottle, and placed it on Joy's bottom lip. She tried to spit it out, but the liquid came too quickly and she ended up swallowing it. Once she finished the bottle, Greed took a step back and looked at Joy. She began to cry, displeased that she had drank the potion. She tried to hide her tears.
Joy gritted her teeth. She faced away from Greed--maybe if she didn't look at him, the potion wouldn't take effect. Yes, that was it--don't look at him, don't look at him. . . His hand snatched her face and yanked it so that she was looking up at him. She was forced to glare into his sky-blue eyes. He glared back. "Do you love me?" "I'd sooner love a crippled turkey with digestive issues." She spat at him. He struck her across the face. She flinched back and felt her cheek throb. He grabbed her again and shoved the bottle at her lips once more. She shrieked, sputtered, and thrashed desperately against him, but he was too strong. He shoved her to the floor and forced the liquid into her mouth. She swallowed and felt the warm, sweet-tasting potion slide down her throat. Finally, he released her. She fell away from him with a dry sob, then coughed and spat on the carpet. "He said it has a quick effect," Greed growled. "It shouldn't take long now." Joy bit her lip and fell silent, looking away from him. She waited several moments and wondered when the potion would activate--if she would even notice it. A full minute passed by. She smacked her lips. The potion had tasted a bit like strawberries. Kind of nice, actually. I don't feel any different, Joy slowly realized. Is the potion working? Maybe it isn't. At the idea of the potion somehow not taking effect, her heart began to race with excitement. If he doesn't know the potion isn't working. . . maybe I can use that to my advantage. "Well, Joy?" Greed's voice broke in grimly. "Do you love me?" She took a long, deep breath. Slowly, Joy got to her feet. Some spots of her bridal gown were now sticky from the potion she'd spat out, but she smoothed the ruffled silk daintily. Hesitantly, she turned and faced Greed. She made herself look mildly dazed. He was staring intently at her. Joy braced herself. . . and gave him a small, sweet smile. "Why. . . Greed," she murmured smoothly. "I never really noticed how. . . handsome you are." Greed looked like a little kid on Christmas morning.

At bolded part: What a statement. That's brilliant.
I love where you left off with pretending the potion worked! I can't wait to write the next part.

And true.
Thanks! xD Ugh, I think I gave myself some low-key creep vibes, though. . . o.O
"YES!" Greed shouted. "It worked!" "Oh Greed, let's get married and live together!" Joy said in a insanely joyful mood.
"Yes, and we will rule the world!" Greed replied.
The two stared at each other intensely and they brought their heads closer together, when suddenly the exit door opened, and right outside was Lord Fear with the key in hand that he unlocked the door with.
"Please tell me there has been progress." He commanded. "Oh yes, mighty Lord Fear. I can't wait to marry your lovely son. He's such a dear." She replied hugging Greed tightly.
"Well, that worked better than I expected." Lord Fear replied. "Come along you two lovebirds, we have a wedding to plan!" "Yay!" Joy said, but internally she was cringing so much, and she couldn't wait to stop acting.
Joy, Greed, and Lord Fear left the room and into the hallway to Lord Fear's room. Not so far away, Temptation and Dr. Farthingworth had been watching the whole thing in a hidden corner of the hallway to see if the plan had worked.
Temptation saw Joy's hand holding Greed's hand, and leaning her head on his shoulder, and this made Temptation very cross. Temptation grabbed Dr. Farthingworth by the collar, raised him up, and pushed him to a wall where no one could find them.
"I thought you said you made fakes, you liar? You should be named Deception." Temptation said as he pushed Dr. Farthingworth against the wall. "I..did..It shouldn't..have worked." Dr. Farthingworth said, struggling to say his words.
"Then how do you explain that?" Temptation asked. "She..has to..be..faking it..There's no..other..explanation." Dr. Farthingworth replied, still struggling.
Temptation released him, and Dr. Farthingworth fell to the floor gasping for breath. Temptation paced a little back and forth as he felt unsure and confused. Dr. Farthingworth seemed decently innocent, but he still couldn't trust him if she was really faking it.
He turned to Dr. Farthingworth, still lying on the floor. He grabbed him by the collar and dragged him down the hall.
"Where are you taking me?" Dr. Farthingworth asked. "To see Joy herself when she's alone. If she's in love, you better have a good explanation for it." Temptation said.
