Joy hesitated, unsure for a moment about leaving her parents to fend for themselves. At her father's encouraging smile, however, her eyes brightened with confidence, and she raced after Temptation. Temptation tensed and grabbed his sword when he heard footsteps coming up behind him. He whirled around, but found only Joy running toward him. Perplexed, he exclaimed, "I thought you were going with your parents!" "They'll be fine. I'm not leaving you to do this by yourself," she responded, catching up with him. She looked up at him and said firmly, "We're doing this together, Luke." Temptation hesitated at the thought of putting Joy in danger. "Trust me." She smiled. He took a deep breath and nodded. "All right." With that, he gripped the hilt of his sword and continued on through the trees toward the estate. She followed him closely, taking care to step softly on the ground. "You being here might makes things easier, actually," he said. "I wasn't sure how to get the alchemists out of the laboratory without drawing attention to myself. . . but with you, you could help me distract everyone." He hesitated again. "Go on," Joy pressed encouragingly. Slowly, he suggested, "I'm pretty sure I can get rid of anyone in the laboratory by myself pretty easily. But, I'm not sure I can do it without someone calling the alarm and getting caught. What we need is a distraction--a big one." He glanced at her. She caught the wary look in his expression. "Whatever it is, I can handle it." "Your dad'll probably beat me senseless if you get hurt. . ." Temptation muttered with a grim look. She ignored the comment with a grin. "Just tell me what it is." "I was thinking of setting something on fire. Like the barn, where there's lots of nice, flammable hay." Her gaze sharpened. "What about--?" "You'll have to free the horses before then. I wasn't going to tell you to leave them in there when it burned," he added wryly at her expression of relief. "You'll probably be able to grab a torch from one of the walkways or entrances," he instructed hurriedly as they neared the edge of the estate. "Do it as quickly and quietly as possible."
Awwwww yiiiiiissss!!! Go after him, be free little Joyful. :33 ^v^

"Got it. I can do it." Joy replied. "Oh, and make sure you have your disguise so you blend in." Temptation reminded.
"Let's do this."
Both of them approached a nearby gate from the driveway. One of the gates had a lantern on it that Joy picked up with her to use as her torch for the fire.
Joy and Temptation split up going to their own missions with their disguises on. Temptation entered one of the side doors of the estate, while Joy headed toward the rear where there was a large field, as well as a barn.
Joy approached the barn as quietly as she could, and there was no one outside the barn, so it was easy for her to approach. As she got closer and closer to the barn, it got noisier and noisier, and it was very annoying. "What are those sounds in the barn?"
She opened up the barn door, expecting to find some crying horses, but she was very surprised.
"Where are the horses? And why are there so many chickens are in here?" The barn was converted from a horse stable into a massive multilayered chicken coop. There were shelves of chickens and nests on both sides of the barn. Each nest contained a chicken just bopping its head or eating off of the trough.
"Look at all those chickens. There must be like, 500 chickens here." She looked to the right where she found crates of eggs and realized she was in the chicken barn that supplies the eggs for the cookies.
"I was hoping to be rescuing horses before I had to burn this place down, but I'll be saving the chickens instead." She thought of her plan very carefully. Instead of freeing the chickens from the door she came through, she decided to free the chickens from the door on the other side, which was facing away from Lord Fear's estate and couldn't be seen.
She shifted her feet through the floor of roaming chickens, while sometimes being pecked on the hood by chickens on the shelves. She reached the rear door and opened it wide.
"Be free!" She said to the chickens, but the chickens didn't understand. "Bok bok bok." She said as she pretended to be a chicken leaving the barn, but the chickens still didn't understand. "Ugh, fine." She got some chicken feed and spread it outside, and the chickens began to follow.
