{Spoiler}{JAMMERS! GOOD ONLY!} I could send some Rangers too, but if you can take care of it, that'd be great.
I'll see what I can do. Gondor has some ships somewhere, but IDK where. I seriously need to re-evaluate my forces' locations, whenever I have the time....
{Spoiler}{JAMMERS! -username- ONLY!} There's a big fleet at South Ithilien, unless someone has moved it:Ships: 1,000 Ship MWE, 1,000 regular MWE 12 Battleships 24 Frigates 20 Destroyers 8 Siege Ships. You could take them to Tolfalas to help out.
{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} So I see - yes, I noticed that as well. I'll try and muster Rohan's naval forces at Eastfold and send them down the Anduin, if no one minds. Do you also need ground troops?
{JAMMERS! -username- ONLY!} I don't think that would work. The Eastolf only borders the entwash, which breaks apart in it's marshy delta, and even then ships would be blocked by Cair Andros and its fords. The Highest ships could go up the river from the sea go would probably be where the Anduin borders Anorien, above Osgiliath. Perhaps we could establish a forward Naval base at Osgiliath, Minas Tirith or (As I would recommend, because of how close it is to the sea), Pelargir.
{JAMMERS! GOOD ONLY!} I agree with Bobby here. You just can't reach the sea with ships from the Eastfold. The closest place you could build them effectively would probably be Cair Andros, but I agree with the idea of establishing a naval hub for all good HQs at another location, such as Pelargir.

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} Great, I'll start my navy there, then. Also, rules-wise, can I take and build an arbalest, then modify it like I planned to in the A&U topic? I think that'd make a great armament on a ship.
{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} So, I have a new idea. At Udun and Morgul, we simply keep them under enough pressure to stop them moving troops to elsewhere.
For now, all non-engaged troops move to South Ithilien. Me and EE use our ships to defeat Umbar at Tolfalas. Ships them meet the orc fleet, and hold them back.
Then, my main force sails to Harondor and lands. We overcome/besiege the thousand troops there, and attack the armies at Poros from behind. Then, the excess Good troops in South Ithilien come at Poros from the noth, and combine with the army there. We press Poros from both sides, and hopefully break their lines.

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} This would ideally work, but I don't believe it will - mainly because of the forum we're using (a Role play.) By the time you take or at least move through Harondor, those at Poros will know your general idea and either fortify against that side or send for reinforcements. You would also leave your forces open to a pincer movement from Umbar and the forces at Poros. I agree with your plan, but I'd also recommend sending another force to Umbar, such that we take both Harondor and Umbar before moving northward, giving us a larger force, and preventing Umbar from flanking you. Other than that, I think it's a good plan.

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} Well, assuming nothing goes wrong at sea, I can send my fleet to Umbar and batter the docks with siege ships. I imagine that will keep 8legos busy.
Also, we do have a large force at Poros already. If we could just draw a few thousand to the south, I guess it might allow us to turn the tide there.

{JAMMERS! GOODIES ONLY!} On attacking Poros from the south, we wouldn't even need to take Harondar--we could just bypass the fortress and go straight to the crossings. Either way, we're then open to being attacked by their reinforcements, but we can deal with that if it happens. Attacking Umbar itself would work too, but only if we have the troops for it.
Also, since we're looking at attack options anyways, I'll throw something else out there. Most of MM's troops are now pinned down in Minas Morgul. He has a small-ish army fixing up Cirith Ungol (3k MWE, 2k of which is Armored trolls). However, if those can be gotten rid of, then the Morgul Vale is open, at least for us. Just wanted to throw that out there.

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} True; but I'd rather we go ahead and take the regions we're passing through, even if it slows us down; it helps protect our flank anyways. As to Cirith Ungol, it's a shame we decided not to let the dwarves have their special weapons. MLB, could you send some of your new ballistae down there to remove the trolls? I can reinforce you with some spearmen if need be (and if you have the troops.) So, to recap; we need to take Tolfalas, so we make sure evil can't put ships up the river to take Poros. Then we need to send Dol Amroth's forces to Harondor* to take a few regions and form a pincer movement at Poros. Meanwhile, dwarves/Rohirrim keep MM pressured at Udun Vale so he can't invade, and send some forces to take Cirith Ungol, or at least weaken the Morgul Vale. Anything to add? * Now, I know I'm abusing the use of asterisks, but I'd like to talk more about troop numbers. I'd recommend sending 10,000 troops to Harondor (numbers-wise, not MWE-wise). Leave 3,000 at Harondor to guard your flank and take the region, but send the other 7,000 north to Poros. If we can send more than this, great. Otherwise, I don't think we should tango with Umbar unless it's necessary; I doubt they're going to leave their capitol undefended, and it may stir up a hornet's nest of ships to stop us from landing. Thoughts on my excessively long addition?

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} It's a Good plan (pun intended ) but the numbers look beyond our capabilities. I have 5, 000 MWE at Tolfalas. Once I've driven 8legos back, I'll generate the troops from there, and have them as the defensive force, allowing the men I already have to go to Harondor. I may be able to draw 1, 000 or so MWE from near my HQ; I'll have to check.

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} I was actually hoping the dwarves could help out here, and the Rohirrim as well, if I can free up any forces. So, here's what we've got so far: 2,000 MWE from Dol Amroth 3-4k from Rohan Bobby? MLB? What kind of forces can you guys offer? And of course, with my new Winged Hussars, Rohan is now much more formidable in battle.

{Spoiler}{JAMMERS! Good ONLY!} Mmmmm, you have dwarves in the vicinity Sham, correct. Before we do anything we need to clear out those rangers from South Ithilien and establish coastal defenses. I know you can do the latter Sham, and I would guess Gondor could dig up some rangers to deal with the rangers. Otherwise I think we have the advantage at Udun, and almost certainly a victory at Morgul once EE gets going. I will send some dwarves to Morgul to assist with the trolls after building more Arrâs-ul Menêl at N. Ithilien. The other dwarves I have there will proceed down to S. Ithilien or nearby to be picked up by the ships, unless they are needed else where.

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} I do, but they're on the north side. Once I've dealt with Tolsfalas, I can send ytransports for them, and transport them south if needed.
As for coastal defenses, I plan on building a fortress on Tolfalas, which should hopefully deal with that.
JSYK, I have enough transports for 7, 000 MWE sititng at South Ithilien, if you need them for your troops. I can always make more, though, as they are free.
{JAMMERS! Good ONLY!} Alright, as for the Harondorian campaign, I suggest that after a decisive victory over Umbar we send a few ships to slow down recovery (Possibly with Arrâs-ul Menêl on them to attack without getting hit back) and sending the rest up to collect troops for attacking Poros. They will collect the troops and land them at Harondor. Here the troops must stay near the ships so their siege weapons can protect them. Also, landing only a few troops at first to lure the Harondorian garrison to the ships range may be a good idea. After the Harondorian garrison has been overcome/evaded we should proceed to march up the coast until we reach Poros and march up there to the Crossings. The ships should follow along the coast and up the river to provide protection. Then we attack the Crossings and draw away the troops attention so that the other troops across the river can cross safely and attack. Destroying the Mumakil and trolls with the ships is also essential to ensure we can defeat them, and stealth troops should sabotage the siege weapons. Thoughts?

{JAMMERS! -Good- ONLY!} Yes, that should work - I also plan on adding some of my upgraded arbalests on to ships for faster firing capacity. My only worry here is time; it'll take us another two-three weeks to finish up at Tolfalas, and then another two to three weeks attacking Harondor, so about a month 'til we can get even near Poros, and by then I think they'll be on to us. Not that it matters; we can't spend troops on a diversion. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the plan. How many Rohirrim will be needed?
