It was getting interesting now, the blood was hot and the trail was cold, what better challenge could there be made? Edmond was partly getting irritated and partly eager, it was a good thing his intense excitement out weighed his frustration. He had been working on his pet project for a week now, and it was turning out to be way more problematic than he had first thought. The first day had started simply, he took some long shots of all the important looking people in the building, for research, and of the building, asked questions of his various contacts and created an intricate flow chart of interconnecting things and notes. Then he woke the next morning and it was all gone, no trace of anything aside from the open double balcony doors. From then on it had become a complicated game of cloak and dagger, Edmond trying to to collect information and root out the truth that someone so obviously didn't want him to find, and his unseen opponent that maneuvered so cleverly to destroy his progress. Edmond donned a ankle length grey trench coat proceeded down winding dismail alleyways, and the looping misty corridors of the city. It was time he got a little help from an old friend, a friend from his teen days. Knocking on a decrepit metal door and waiting pensively he looked side from side, at least tonight there was no one following him. The last several days he had felt more than ever seen his opponent, shadowing his every move and watching him every moment.
Strangely he didn't find it that creepy, more like, exhilarating. The door opened a sliver and a luminous brown eye appeared. Edmond turned his head so the his face could be seen and the door opened, ushering him into the dark interior. After stepping in he faced his friend and they shook hands, "Samuel Desp. It has been long, too long since we saw the other half." Edmond's tone was half joking half serious. He and Samuel had been closer than the brothers neither had ever had, but then for corresponding reasons agreed to not affiliate themselves too much. Samuel because he needed to keep a low profile in order to gather the skills and information he needed, Edmond in order to keep nosy people from figuring out his sources. Samuel's father was an egyptian who had come to Brixxtton, meeting his mother and staying to marry her, Samuel had inherited his good looks from his, his tanned skin set off his straight black hair and dark brown eyes. They had gone to the same school since kindergarten, at first Edmond had been jealous of Samuel, but Samuel had stood for none of that, and Edmond grew to be great friends with him. Samuel smiled, his mouth going to one side, and tossed his head to flick his longish silky black hair out of his eyes. "It has indeed, but while you are here call me Source, this is a clean place, but I know all about your tracking game. Someone hunts you, and as much as I love you near-brother, I wish not to be hunted alongside you, I will be better for you in the shadows as the proverbial sniper."
Edmond smiled wryly, "Truth. Very well, I need you to help me." "Naturally!" Samuel interjected commentary as he already moved to his computer. "Well what is it?"

The screen glowed silver, bathing the figure sitting in the small room, it's glow not quite reaching the corners. A thin smile slid across his mouth for a moment as his fingers flew lightly over the keys. Though his employer had not a single humerus bone in his body, this entire game was great fun. He knew that Edmond knew that he knew what was going on, and it was glorious. Tonight he had picked his quarry up on the various traffic cameras, eventually tracing him into a twenty block triangle radius. He had a gut feeling that he was enlisting some help, but where would that lead. Leaning back in his chair and turning it side to side with his feet he thought settled in to think hard. This was the way they played, the rules, out guessing, fakes and triple backtracks, brain games, always trying to be several steps before the other. Letting his chin sink onto his chest he steepled his fingers, his gaze grew distant and he became completely still, shallowly breathing, unmoving. Time passed, half an hour, as the shadows crept closer to the other side of the room, when he suddenly stirred, Edmond's purpose was becoming clearer to his sight now. One thought dominated his mind, something he had learned long ago, 'What plans could remain veiled long when made by man'.
With a lesser jolt, like waking in the night, Con found himself just as he had been. Gripping Shammrock's hand to shake, the others were completely unaware, and obviously what felt like ages to Conner, had been only a moment to them. He managed to choke out something through the strangling feeling in his throat and chest. "Why? Why did you let me see." Shad locked eyes with him and the dark green fire in his eyes burned deep into him. "Because yu needed to know why I cared, why I do what I do. Yu were wondering weren't yu?" Con nodded. "If it was in my power, we would never need to have a war again. Training agents like you, makes that a chance not just a wish." Con nodded and backed away letting others continue in their goodbyes to him. A moment later he turned to look back, and in true Shammrock fashion there was no trace. A watery smile flickered across his face, they would indeed meet again one day. ✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤
It was fortunately only a short time until Eagle showed up. They roared up in a tan and black jeep, screeching to a dramatic halt in front of the newbs. Before it was even stopped a door flew open and they all hear the hinges crack as a blur named Lilly tackle-hugged Nexo at the speed of light. Before he could even halt his stagger or hug her back she was gone, darting around slightly less fast greeting the others. A moment later she was back to him, dancing around and pelting him with questions and asking if he had eaten. Con didn't pity him in the least, women were a complete mystery most of the time and even more confusing when they liked you. Essa climbed out a bit more sedately and made her rounds of introductions and greetings with a grin on her face. Damian, being himself, slide out and sauntered around the front of the truck.
