They Come

    When he reached his destination he got out on the fancy side of town, and spent the day wending his way to the other side of town. Finally he found the kind of place he needed. The kind of place you could get a room by paying and writing down a name and number.
They didn't check those thing, just cared if you payed them what was due. After spending four days on a bus Rome could barely see the paper wavering and bluring in front of him.
In a flash of impish mischievousness he signed down the name Brenton Fraiserly, number 688-900-7865. The owner of the biggest, fanciest house across town.
Under notes he placed: Please only call after midnight as I work during the day. Also I take medication for a condition that causes confusion so no matter how much I protest or threaten I am indeed the man you are looking for. If you presist I will eventually understand.
Unable to supress a roguish smirk he went up and straightaway slept like dead.
