Thanks! (What's everyone's aversion to emotes lately? I don't get it. Do people think they're ugly...? ) The outfit is based on a possible in-game outfit combination. The color scheme (and the fact that this is lineless painterly style) is based on the official Splatoon art style. I also noticed that most of the Inklings have purple tips in their hair, so I incorporated that quality in Rachel here.

Er... you talking about the Gunship or the Aeromorph question, becuase for the Aero question: They are machine but Anthropomorphic machines that act, think, talk, walk like humans, it’s a very fascinating subject to me, and just screams Disney vibes to me.
For the Gunship question on The term Synth: It refers to a class of alien creatures that have been turned into war machines, and one of the several species that make up the Combine organization. They are officially described as "self-replicating robots that evolve", "created or taken over by the Combine and enslaved during their conquests and wars." Most Synths seem to possess both organic and robotic characteristics, suggesting that they may be the cyborg derivatives of alien races that were previously enslaved by the Combine and assimilated into its armed forces.
