Cool! I haven't drawn many book characters lately (I like too, helps me with visualizing). I have drawn 13 or so minifigures over the last couple weeks, though a couple aren't very LEGO-looking by the time I was done with them. I did Korg and Miek from Thor 3.
( Yeah me too. ) Nice! Yeah I think I know what you mean, I was drawing Kai in his new form for Hunted and almost didn't turn out right, but luckily I fixed it. How do you do hair and clothes on minifigs? I make them a bit more realistic and detailed if I can. ( more so with hair. )
I do mine a lot more realistic if they're a custom, don't know how to describe the way I do the clothing without a pic. And I CON't figure out how to CONnect a pic to this message.
Yeah! Except I literally listen to nothing. Though the other day in a throe of madness I was listening to some NF while drawing up concepts for some Minifig portraits. Indeed. Especially when either drawing twisted torsos or gorls. What kind of Minifigs do you like drawing?
Oh, that sounds boring. His music is lit, bruh.
Ooh, yeah, the torsos give me headaches. I have done just about everything, you name it. I do a lot of custom minifigures, CONverting them from movies and videogames that LEGO hasn't even dreamed of attempting.
It helps me CONcentrate though. (At last I made a Con pun! ) So lit that my ears are on fire hours afterwards.
Yeah, so I try and to easy angles if I can help it. Awesome! Do you colour them? If so, what do you colour with?
Cool! How many do you have? I like drawing ninjas (specifically ZX) in various poses, and have at times tried to translate the female physique into the Minifigure form. At the moment I'm working on some Minifig portraits. In colour - *gulp!*
OCs? Uh wow let me think. Um 40+ so far, and that's not counting animal Ninjago OCs, RP characters and side characters in fanfictions that don't have names. You have any OCs? Oh that's very cool! What's so bad about coloring? I color the majority of my drawings, it makes me feel like they're finished, it looks nice and it's fun.
Wow, that's a lot! Well, way more than I could dream to make anyway. Come to think of it, there is this one OC that I thought up for a fanfiction season of Ninjago: The Master of Oblivion, granted the power of destruction after absorbing the power of the Oblivion Stone. Yeah, thin plot I know, but it was just a fun concept my brother and I thought up.
Thanks! Sorry, it's just that I've only gotten into colouring, so it's my weak point in art. Indeed colouring looks so much better as I've discovered, but pencil is a bit hard for achieving the desired affects (which is a high bar for me since I'm a bit of a perfectionist. ) What colouring mediums do you utilise?
Awesome! Thank you! Care to chat? I mean, if that's alright, if you want to.
Fine by me Have you done any doodles lately? ^_^
Great! I have actually: I just started work on some Minifig portraits, to which I am finally going to utilise colour with. You wouldn't know the best medium of colouring, by any chance?

Well that's good Hmm. Digital or traditional coloring? If you mean on paper, it's hard to say, each medium has upsides and downsides. Kinda depends on what you have to work with.

Music helps me CONcentrate. (A good one, too. ) His music doesn't have that effect on me.
I use colored pencils, I have a collection I've been refining for years. How about you?

Oh I see. That's really cool! So do you do weapons and stuff more realistic to? ( considering that arrow looks pretty detailed. ) I try to make most of my weapons how they'd look in the show if I'm doing Ninjago, and with anything else I try to be as detailed as can but not detailed most of the time if that makes sense.

Well most of them are villains and side characters from Gravitation, so that's why there's so many. Cool! You're welcome! I understand, my sister is a perfectionist too. I'll use almost anything, but mostly it's colored pencil, pen, makers, and sometimes crayons. ( and a lot of times a combination of the ones I mentioned. ) And I also use a digital paint app for digital drawings. What media do you plan to use/have been using?

Thanks, the photo wasn't exactly great quality.
Yep, I pretty much make everything as real as possible, while still using a square torso and blocky legs. The weapons in Ninjago aren't entirely LEGO-looking, are they?

Thanks Well I guess you could do just about anything with digital. I meant traditional and on paper, specifically what method brings out the best colour?

Thanks for the image, Rome, you're the best.
You're most welcome. Also, to link images from sites, you can simply paste the image URL via the Insert Image tool button.

And impressive all the same.
Thanks! Currently he's just a concept sitting on a dusty shelf in my mind somewhere, but perhaps he'll be official if I ever get into writing.
You have my condolences. We're hard to please at times, us perfectionists. Awesome! Which ones do you use the most, and have found brings about the best colour?
Well I've only just started out with s standard set of colouring pencils , but I plan to branch out if I can afford it, to find which gives a good, even colour job.
