I'm mean, free points for the team, right? Wow! Yay indeed for *gasp* graduation next year. Gotta protect those shins, am I right? (Actually, cross country tends to give a lot of people shin splints.)
I guess all that running and jumping and hurdling isn't exactly good for the poor knees. They're fine now, though, because I'm just convalescing over here in my oversized snuggly quilt I made for myself. I know, we learned that the season was being cancelled while we were at out "last" meet, unfortunately. The notice went into effect the next day, so I couldn't do my tennis match. (We only had one in our season.)
I want to hear this story. Yep, hurdles aren't exactly lying around these days.
Totally. Plus free points for me. *gasp* aaaaaaaaAAAAH! It's too soon. Right... agh shin splints. I get them every year because the captains would like to skip stretching properly...
xD My knees would probably like to get bruised on a hurdle just to be out on the track. Oof yeah... we had a track meet planned the day after they announced it was cancelled...
Okay so it's not that exciting, but I thought I was going to do hurdles freshman year because one of our coaches is very good at convincing me to do things (like run the 4x800m). So we had two college students come and help coach and one coached hurdles. Basically we were trying to get over foam hurdles which were easy enough because they're foam and jr. high level short. But then she's like "Let's bring out the real ones!" and I could not get over them, I would stop right before I was supposed to. So she's like, "I'll give you oreos if you get over one hurdles." All my friends were telling me to picture the oreos on the other side. So I did, and I got over the hurdle. Idk, oreos helped. *sneaks into the place where we keep our hurdles* AHA! (I'd have to hop two fences and break a garage door to do this )
Of course. Gotta get all those points. I KNOW what will we do?? Nasty things, shinsplints are. Also, no one really likes to stretch, it seems, so we usually have to do it on our own . . . which means it ususally doesn't happen.
Aw man, at least we were able to get a couple in. That stinks.
Oh yes, I know those convincing coach types. They're quite good, aren't they? Also, I know exactly the feeling when you run up to those hurdles and then just stop. Happens all the time in practice when they're 110m race height (39 inches, I do believe). I guess oreos really do help!
Yeah, our hurdles aren't actually ours but some other schools and we have to borrow the key to go get them so I don't think I could. But hey, I could join you in hurdling those fences and breaking down the garage door!
Sooo yeah, I've never really posted here unless I was summoned by some amazing art people made for me.
But today I have some artwork of my own! Nothing special, just a sketch I did last night. One of Disney's latest drawing tutorials was a lion, so I figured why not? XD I'm hoping to practice and test different designs so I can eventually make some art of my Lion King OCs.
Hmm TheFlash213 said something about old art and got me thinking! SO I CHALLENGE YOU ALL: Post one piece of old art. (At least... 2 years old let's say.) Either you all are gonna ignore this post, or you'll rise to the task. We'll see.
*sniCKER*
I would accept this, but I don't think you want the nightmares my old attempts at art would cause you to have.

Yes of course. Uuuuh... college?! O_O Stretching takes so long... like I enjoy it maybe because I've had a dancing background, but yeah I am also usually on my own in the end still stretching xD Actually except for the one foreign exchange student. She likes to stretch too xD Yeah, oh well... :\ The good thing is the guys on the bus won't be singing Hey There Delilah very loudly. Oof yeah. Yes, try Oreos! Just find someone willing to buy you Oreos. Oh wow! *thinks of the first fence that's about 10 ft tall* Yeah I think we could hurdle it. Let's do it.
