In all seriousness, Human After All wasn’t the most well recieved but a lot thought it was good. (Including me.) It has some great songs.
And On/Off.
Absolute musical perfection.
Yeah, I remember hearing they wanted to try a simpler style which not everyone agreed was good - I guess Robot Rock and The Brainwasher might've looped a hit longer than normal. I don't know if this is some obvious thing everybody's already put together, but I think a lot of Human After All was a message against TV. "Television Rules The Nation" is self-explanatory, "The Brainwasher" may be a nickname for television, and the video for "Technologic" seems to imply how people absorb what TV tells them and become mindless robots, brainwashed - brick, even the album cover is in the shape of a TV.
Always on repeat. Such a work of art.
Deserved a Grammy for sure.
The Brainwasher is absolute gold. The minimalism and repetitiveness did annoy some, but personally I found it unique.
It is one of the bigger messages of the album. I mean, the album cover is a TV screen with the Daft Punk logo and On/Off is, well, TV.
Indeed.
I saw some DP related convos in FF, in one of which I think you said DP were basically responsible for creating house or something. House was developed in Chicago in the 80s and 90s, Daft Punk were part of the big French House movement. Had some good songs in there, “Music Sounds Better With You” (which one half of DP collaborated on) and “Lady (Hear Me Tonight)” to name a couple.

The deserved Grammies for it every year.
Daft Punk should be their own genre.
Ah, so there are multiple messages. Don't mind this DP noob.
Yeah, I often saw them credited for it, even though I think earliest electronic "music" started in the 40's or 60's or something. That would make sense; I guess they were just big in helping it move along. Then you have those 2010's DJs who brought it to the radio.
In all honesty, EDM music isn't much on lyrics in general. What's your favorite TheFatRat song? Yeah, I know, I was surprised to find "Gold Dust."
I liked it!
Yeah, it's not as relatable to our age group. I know, what would the world be without them? Don't procrastinate.
"Name three EDM songs with good lyrics." "Uh . . . um . . . er . . . Sandstorm?"
It's hard to choose tbh, since they're all so different in many ways. Top three are probably Jackpot, Monody, and Fly Away, but I also really liked Origin. How about you?
Like many other artists, they're really just known for a couple songs rather than their work altogether. ;-;
Same!
It's kind of sad the Christian Charts still have stuff from 2015 and 2016.
Well, there'd be a few hundred people who couldn't hear Avicii's Without You, for one.
o shoot this guy knows me okok I'll pull 'i'm up.
It takes like half an hour to get to the lyrics though.
MAYDAY, or Fly Away. Have you seen his live-remixing video? He's amazing!
That's how it works, I guess. It's impossible for us to grasp more than a couple artists full repertoire, so we just pick a few of their best to recognize.
They're a bit slow...
Haven't tried that one.
You and the rest of the world. *rolls eyes* I'm the type of guy who just goes ahead and does it now, it makes life simpler.

Even the years after HAA came out.
Daft Punk basically made their own genre several times now.
We all have to start somewhere.
Well, the synthesiser was developed around the 40s-60s, then this bloke named Giorgio Moroder (who recorded an interview which later got used in a song on Daft Punk’s last album. Coincidence? I think not.) took one look at it and was like “it’s free real estate” and kinda invented disco. Then in the early-mid 80s synthpop started to become popular with guys like Eurythmics, the Human League, the Pet Shop Boys and others. Then stuff happened and here we are.

If even that.
You mean the EDM-video game music one? Yeah, he's great! Hopefully he'll get popular enough to do more live shows.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense; sometimes it's just painful as the fanboy when there's so much other good stuff. Eh, as you said, not everyone can know 'em all.
Yeah, both in BPM rate and how they move up the charts.
It's pretty fun.
Yeah, that's probably the better decision. I always fully intend to and fully forget to. (I did actually do it, though.)
Hello, just a Classical, Modern Classical, Ambient user popping in.
Hello sir, you are welCON here. What's your opinion on rap, disregarding bad language?
*error, error*
I am without opinion upon the subject of rap music, as I have not collected sufficient data or musical exposure to the genre to establish an opinion and I can only offer a humble vindication of my ignorance by writing this reply.

I’ve read way too much into this.
"And the 2019 Song of the Year is . . . 'On/Off!'" "It's been the song of the year for the last fifteen years!" "Yeah, hopefully it'll stay there!"
Each album is its own genre.
I'll keep trying to grow. :3 Alive 2007 was a pretty good groundbreaker to get me from standard EDM to Daft Punk's style.
I remember that; I initially had thought Giogio was one of the robots. Maybe I misheard it and they actually invented the kind of dj-ing performance; either way they're pretty important in the roots of electronic music.

We all have to be TMI-geeks about something.
Sounds perfect.
Homework is some acid/French house combination, Discovery is a dance album, HAA is.... some weird electronic rock thing (), Tron is an orchestral/EDM (Derezzed anybody? ), RAM is some weird kind of Disco.
Alive 2007 was one of the best live albums I’ve listened to. (Though I’m not too into live albums so that’s not saying much. ).
Nah, he’s an old guy. Thomas and Guy definitely did something. They did influence a load of future EDM artists.
