Out of those three I know only John Flanagan.

Well, in that case...

James Dashner is the author of the Maze Runner, which you've probs heard of.

He also wrote Eye of Minds, which a very slight inspiration for this story.

Richard Paul Evans is the author of the Michael Vey series, and the Christmas Box (which I've never read).

And yeah, it just leaves off like that.

Final assessment, good parts. Non canon though.
