Also, I find the disrespect from “fans” of Star Wars to Rian Johnson to be disgusting.
He made a movie. He made a good movie. So you didn’t like it. Does that give you the right to go around making fun of the man just because he made a movie you didn’t like?
It takes an inch of human decency to simply not openly make fun of a man.
I would go on but it would be a bit inappropriate.
I cant stand the man baby that is Ruin Johnson. He is so ### annoying, its been nearly 4 months since the film came out and the guy is still having to explain to the public why he made many of the choices he did with this film. An most people now dont even care about it like me. To me he is acting like an online troll along with Mark Hamill unfortunatly who I did respect basically ridiculing the fans for not liking his poor story. Its also not about that it wasnt the film each individual fan dreamt up in their heads as Im sure they would of liked it if it had interesting revelations and an interesting arc that could continue to episode 9.
To me the film is simply a bunch of fancy set pieces with poor humour, terrible decisions and a lack of content.
1. Watch the language. Even if it’s censored, it has no place here. I’d also suggest stopping with the ridicule of Rian Johnson, as it is disrespectful, even though you didn’t like his movie.
2. He doesn’t have to explain anything. But he does because the so-called “fans” of Star Wars will do anything to hate this movie because it isn’t Empire Strikes Back.
They didn’t have to appease the fans. If he filled the film with fan service, and everything was extremely predictable, then TLJ would be really boring. Calling them out for not doing what the fans wanted is like getting mad at food because it’s edible.
Does anyone really care about Admiral Ackbar? People only remember him because of his line, “It’s a trap.” Beyond that, he’s only really a meme. Vice Admiral Holdo has more screen time than Ackbar did throughout all 3 movies he appeared in, you know.
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.

Actually the word this system censored was damn which is really strong language TBH. Also Im only being disrespectful in return to a fool who is being direspectful to fans. Watch Rian and Marks interviews on how they jokingly talk about being happy with ruining fans childhoods in defense cos they now its true. Mark Hamill was right about Johnsons vision in the begining its just that he is a nervous guy and has probably changed his mind miraculously so they dont cut him out of a job/pay check for episode 9 or any future work.

Yes, I’m familiar with the censor LMBE uses.
How has he been disrespectful to anyone? I do not remember Rian or Mark talking about being happy with ruining fans childhoods, which they haven’t.
But if he was disrespectful, at least try and be the bigger man and stop insulting him. It gets no one anywhere’s.

Who cares its not like hes going to notice. Also Mark and Rian say that they were happy to ruin fan childhoods in a recent interview.
I hate Rebels so much I'm surprised I watched the first three seasons.
I miss Rebels... remember when they'd show us on-screen deaths, lightsaber wounds, and dismemberment?
*sigh*... good times...
No but really the one thing that upsets me about Rebels is how it is straight up being neutered by Disney's censorship, even though it at the same time needs to live up to the legacy of Clone Wars. The show was honestly set up to fail and wouldn't be able to keep the same dark tone Clone Wars had just because of the intrinsic nature of the show. what ends up happening is the audience is made to watch tense situations arise... and they'll just watch people get punched and bludgeoned in a world of LASER GUNS and LIGHTSABERS. I cannot count the number of times I've seen Ezra WRESTLE WITH and PUNCH stormtroopers even though he could just as easily actually, gasp, kill or injure someone with his lightsaber! A lot of times he'll actually charge into groups of storm troopers... and kick them. Something that makes no sense as that just leaves you open to being knocked off your feet.
There are other problems with the show, of course. Dialogue is cringey -- especially when they're trying to deal with 'emotional' situations (The episode where Sabine reveals her past with her parents comes to mind. Words fail to describe how stupid that looked and sounded). The times characters do die it is hidden from our eyes by blatantly obvious cut-aways.
I would say in general there is a really bad contrast between the show's darker themes and plots, and the presentation of the show itself. The show is genuinely trying to deal with themes such as loss and tragedy, but the immersion is too often broken with bad dialogue and other bitter reminders that what you're watching is a kids' show and Disney won't allow any good action actually take place on their channel.
To be honest -- Beyblade Burst is a better animated show than Rebels. Heck -- the ORIGINAL Beyblade is more watchable.

Did anyone else here the announcement that the new live action SW TV series next year is going to be set 7 years after Return of the Jedi and use the same CGI technology that was used for the new Jungle book film? Sounds pretty cool. I hope Boba Fett reappears and we get to see the battle of Jakku as some form of prologue. Also it would be cool to see the rise of the first order along with the appearance of characters from the Aftermath book trilogy and Lost Stars book.
