Top o' the mornin' to ya lads, I don't suppose any of ya 'ave 'eard o' a day that goes by the name o' "St. Patrick's Day", 'ave ye? It is a lovely day where people wear green, go down to the nearest establishment that calls itself an Irish pub, and shout very loudly for a couple of hours, among other things.
I do trust, however, that most of you do know the true meaning of the holiday, and I tell you: a bit o' the ol' St. Patrick's story does the body good, it does.
The short and sweet of it, for those who may not know, is, well, it goes like this: one day, this Christian fellow by the name o' Patrick gets taken away to an island, and is made to start workin' for the blokes that live there. After livin' with them for a while, he gave a speech wherein he compared the Holy Trinity to a three-leafed clover, and got most if not everyone converted to Catholicism that way.
Not to dwell on that, or anything, but it really is a great day to be Irish. It's also a holiday that gets celebrated in the United States for some reason, which is quite fortunate for us folk o' Irish descent who happen to want to celebrate the good holiday.
So uh... tonight, when I logged in, I saw that none o' ye 'ave celebrated or anything (and if you did, it wasn't obvious). That is perfectly awful! So while I go ahead and prepare some tea, I expect all o' ye to go ahead an celebrate St. Patrick's day! Go on, celebrate it!
Also, all through the week, I expect you people to read whatever I say in an Irish accent, it does the ears good, it does.
And before anyone questions it -- I am of Irish descent, so it's all in good fun.
Oh and um, if a designer 'appens to be readin' this, I would very much appreciate it if we could get either a shamrock emote, or even a St. Pat's theme, cheers!
