Star Wars Original Saga Role Play Rules for Playing
These Rules are for your best use to understand so that you’ll be able to efficiently play in this Roleplay. While it may be complex it is basically Chess. If you have any questions about any of the rules please feel free to ask about them. I will try my best to cover over any and all rules to my best ability.
Rules on Buying and Selling
- In this RP you can buy and sell just about anything you just need a seller and a buyer. In this RP anything can be used as currency but the most common form is Credits. Credits can be acquired on the 1st of every month. You can acquire those credits by controlling a planet. Each planet will have a specific amount that it gives. (If a planet is contested the planet doesn’t get the controlling user its credits. The person who wins the fight and stops the conquest gets the lump sum of credits that was withheld, so if a planet was contested for 3 months then the winner gets 3 months of credits that the planet makes. See contesting rules for better understanding)
- Shipyards can sell you ships. Every shipyard has a build price and a sales price. Build Price is how much it costs the shipyard to build the ship sales price is what a customer buys at. If you are buying from a shipyard you own then you pay Build Price. Sales Price is set by the owner but it has to be higher for build price. If you need a list of prices for something please see the RP Rep as I’m sure they can help. If there is an item but no current shipyard produces it then you can purchase it on the Black Market for a fair price.
- Capturing ships and using them for money: In some rare cases a user can caputre a ship. If that user were to tow that ship into the shipyard that they own they can use that ship for how every many credits at build cost it is worth for an equal amount of another ship (so say 3 star destroyers were captured I can add their credit value to build and ARC Class Main Battle Cruiser)

- Shipyards, Business Topics, and HQs are NOT attackable. This means you can NOT attack them, they are abstract meeting places for planning.
- Some shops might exist but not have a planet. In this instance you may spawn those units that you buy on any planet that you control or an ally controls. You may NOT spawn those units into a contested planet or on ships in battle.
About Traveling:
In this RP traveling through space seems like a funny concept to understand trust me it takes a while. Firstly you’ll need to reference this picture below in order to understand what i’m trying to convey
Now these planets are not the same one’s we are using however it’ll give you an understanding of where everything is at. When I say 1M that is sector 1 Middle Ring. when i say 1O that is sector 1 Outer Ring. you have to understand that each section has its own planets and those sections make up SECTORS which are 1,2,3,4 and Core. (Core is the Middle)
When traveling you may NOT travel to an adjacent sector. You must go side to side. Imagine a castle in chess. They can move foward to back or side to side. Same with everyone’s travel in this game. You may not move to a diagonal section you must move up and then over.
The next hard thing to understand is traveling in space. Since you can’t instatly get somewhere over a long distance instantly there has to be a wait time. So If i send my fleet from Esseles 1M to Courscant Core then I’ll have to wait to use it again while it’s in transit time. The moment a ship leaves it takes one 24 hour period to be able to arrive at its destination, you must post an arrival and departure post at each planet so the players know.

After you arrive in a planet system you must wait another 24 hours before you can move again. This is to allow pirates to make moves of some sort and not exclude them.
Interdicters can keep your fleet locked from going to hyperspace until they’re destroyed. If you want to progress you must destroy them otherwise you’re trapped in system
While these rules apply when traveling to other sections planets within the same section are exempt from the travel times, this means that I can travel from Esseles 1M to Bogden 1M in an instant.
About: Move restrictions
A user may make a MAX of 4 moves per turn, however if there are a very large number of units and battle groups then we allow 1 move per battle group.
If there are things that happen after a move (say destroying s star destroyer and a lot of debris hit fighters) that’s not another action simply the same actions ongoing impact.
If it is unclear consult a mod or Rep
About Misc:
We do NOT allow Super lasers or other planetary destroying devices. The only time we will allow such devices is a severely scaled down version that has an IRL recharge rate and an some sort of drawback. You may not build a death star or eclipse and use the super laser to fire on ground units.
You may Not orbitally bombard onto the surface of a planet to destroy a ground unit UNLESS you are firing on turret emplacements or you are firing on units that are firing on your capital ships.
You may build any ship (within reason) if you have enough credits for them.
If you want to build a Fanon ship you must have a picture of it or some sort. You also need to post specs for the FAC to see. You also must post the specs to the Fanon Design Compilation for everyone else to see.
As of right now these are all the rules I can think of I will post a planets list shortly. If there are any other rules that come about then we will post them here.

About contesting planets: in order to contest a planet you must first have a base. A base could be a ring of crates to an immaculent fortress. Once that base is overrun then you lose your rights of contesting the Planet. If you manage to take out the other players base then your base supersedes theirs and yours is now the main one that controls the planet.

This is the current planet list and these planets will be posted. The amount of planets will change with the amount of people that are RPing. If you would like to start your own faction you will be assigned your own sector and planets within as well as a shipyard. Please follow the basic format that every planet has when it is posted if the Rep asks you to post a planet to keep things all in uniformed order. Please note that the above map is not correct and it will be subject to change when the time comes.
