I'm still trying to get used to the format here. I'm on the Old Boards theme and the old emoticons aren't showing, but the new ones are, and when I post in bold, it's not showing, but my earlier posts made from my cell browser show as bold. Lol. What do y'all use? What theme and browsers and all cool stuffs like that?
I just use the regular LMBE theme. The old LMB themes make me too nostalgic
That's fair. I can still notice several big differences (guess I'm not old enough that my memory's completely shot ), but I'm sure most of them are just ProBoards and not changeable. The designers did a very good job with it! Do you know if any of them were around for the old layout, or did they take it all off the Archive?

I use the LMBE with sidebar one. We are working on a new theme for a while which is pretty cool though, no idea when we'll release it though.
Sweet! Looking forward to it!
Roddy, I don't remember if we ever formally met. I recognize your username from wikia chats but didn't know you were from '07. If you don't remember me, I'm Peat-a-peat. Hi. I said this a couple of posts ago, but y'all have done a great job with this theme for sure, and I'll have to check out the others soon. Who are the other coders? I know Seaside98 and ShermanTheMythran were fantastic designers, from several years ago. Seaside taught me HTML and some CSS, and I'm studying that now at school (having to re-learn since middle school ).
Awesome! It's great to see y'all up and active, too. Haha, great! Yes, I am grateful that it works here. Indeed! Sadly, I celebrated my tenth year anniversary by myself since the Boards weren't there, wondering if it still technically counted, but I did think of everyone I'd met over the years to get me there. I was actually thinking of you just the other day, too. We need to catch up some time, buddy!
I count it as far as the LEGO.com Message Boards might go. Although I don't know if you are actively participating in LEGO.com games, galleries, etc.
I too recently passed my 10 year mark, and I sorted through old memories. I really thought I would be able to quietly celebrate it in the Old Timers Topic back on LEGO.com, but it was not possible.
Yes, catching up would be a true pleasure.
Great, then I'm certified old. I forgot that your account was just a few months older than mine! That's cool. Yes, nostalgia sometimes hits like a ton of LEGO bricks, doesn't it (pun intended)? Fortunately, we are given these memories to make us smile, but not to dwell on for too long. Did you know that the boards were going out before they did? I knew it the day after they announced it, but I don't think I returned to wish them farewell. I probably should have. It was so different, though, then, it seemed. I am not active on LEGO.com anymore... I saw they changed it recently, yeah? Are you on there? I do have the LEGO Life app.
I'm not sure if you still hold your account, but I sent you a message (I don't know if it's name-droppable on here, sorry, but you probably know where I'm referencing).
Here, sadly not much. There aren't many oldies that made the movie to these boards. Most just retired.
Just as in "recently" or "simply?" If recently, that stinks. [] Right, I'm sure not many were interesting in moving over (I wasn't as much because it seemed sketchy at first and I didn't feel like joining all of the newbies. Would be cool if we had the Old Guard back). If I remember correctly, the criteria for Old Timers was four years and Veterans (LBB's topic) were six years old? So pretty soon we'll have even Veterans who never spent time on the old boards. Crazy.
Just recently. A lot of users like Diglett and a few others ended up retiring from these boards too a few months back. The criteria at first was two years to be in LMB old timers, but then after the updated we changed it to users who were around before the 2012 update. Now, it's pretty loose lol

I don't know who did the development, though the staff probably would! They certainly did a great job working within the Proboards platform to make it work! They even did the old "Birthdays" box XD
Wait, didn't you join in '06? Or were you on the old old boards?
Yeah I joined in '06 with my first account, but I lurked before that to get hints for Junkbot and Worldbuilder. I finally made an account to chat with the R.E.D. team for the Drome Racers Challenge game. My dad made an account for all of us kids to use before that, but I don't remember what the username was, I was pretty young. He made it cuz you needed an account to play Brick Game if my memory serves me correctly, but he didn't want to just let us have accounts yet as online stuff was all still relatively new back then.
So lame that any messageboards. or community.lego.com links lead to LEGO Life now. A cruel joke. [] []
LEGO Life is terrible. You can only comment emotes and can't have your own username, it's so stupid. And moderation is terribly inconsistent. They are shutting down Rebrick now too which is sad.

Oh, booooo. Life goes on, I suppose. Okay, gotcha. Lol yeah.

Oh, right. That's cool! Haha, did you get any worthwhile hints? []

I'm not sure I know what Rebrick is, but I agree, it's dumb. I have it just to have it, but I never get on or anything. I mean, I get it; it's a lot closer to what LEGO wants to do, right? Advertise their products? The MBs and Galleries, I feel, were always about getting people interested in LEGO products and creations and inspiring others (and perhaps they were slipping way too far away from that), and LEGO Life does this in a dumbed-down, lower-maintenance way.
Hi everyone. How've you all been doing? Tomorrow is the start of new student orientation for me at college, so that'll be scary.
Daler! How was NSO? I'm a freshman as well. []
It went well. I started a trend where almost 2/3 of everyone on my floor now knows how to write and read the Matoran language. My college has 7-week terms, so I'm already about 1/4 through the first term! How's college going for you?
