Your description of role play is interesting, very different from what I know. I got into role play around 2016, but I often found that there wasn't really much thinking or strategy involved. It was very simplistic. But even though it was simplistic, it took ages to get anything done. Fights, actions, everything, took weeks, even months due to their simplicity. Like, it wasn't complicated at all. I'm assuming that it must've gotten less complicated over the years so newbies could understand it better.
A limit too how many posts you could make? I didn't know that. Who on earth thought it was a good idea to get rid of that? :P That would have certainly been good. Less spam, less work for the mods...
Yes, whilst I don't have a favourite genre, I have favourite characters. Yukino is from a show I may or may not be allowed to mention, and she's one of my favourite anime characters because of her excellent character development. She's an intellectual character, that's probably a bit egotistical, always pointing out everyone else's flaws, always showing trying to be the best. But over the course of the show, her character changes, and she learns to become a nicer, kinder, more selfless person. I won't explain it in full, but this character development is why I like her so much. It's developments like these that I find other shows lack, and developments like these make for an interesting story.
Just curious, have you gone into the settings and had a look around? You can change the "Forum Theme" to an old LMB one, to make this forum look somewhat like the old LMB's. Maybe with the old LMB look, your original profile picture would fit.
Your opinions are perfectly fine. When people ask me about my tastes, I get told that I'm waaaay to vague. But I don't try to be vague, it's the truth. I like a lot of different types of music, because there's nothing that sticks out to me, nothing that I can look at and say "Hey, that genre/artist is my kind of thing".
Most people assume I'm from the UK with my English, so it's fine.
It appears that my reply has been rejected, most likely on account of a few foreign words I employed in more richly describing my nostalgia of the Old LMBs. Though I did give definitions to the words, they appear to be considered disallowed regardless. My sincere apologizes.
Roleplay changed a few years after I joined. like instead of being LEGO, story, and character based, it became more random. It never felt overly complicated, and newbies were most always given leniency. Things just changed when people's view of the message boards changed.
character development is often passed over for character action. Of course there are shows and other media that focus on development, but too often they lack it. It seems that anime is most popular with younger people because they deal with more real-life situations and problems, such as school, socialization, and growing-up in a conflicted world.
So as an avatar, does she represent what you're really like, who you want to be like, or just your outward expression?
I've seen the "Old LMB" format, and appreciate it very much, although it isn't the same, and so the same avatar would not be fitting. Seeing the old format, and myself at the rank "Apprentice" and then changing to "Journeyman" was a large does of nostalgia for me.
Regrettably I must opt-out of using the foreign words related to nostalgia, but I do hope I'll be able to explain what their meanings were.
Nostalgia literally means home-sickness, and comes from the Latin for "return home", and "pain". The other words I employed were all quite related to "nostalgia", but difficult to translate into English. A Japanese word meaning "a warm kind of feeling at seeing something old, like 'I remember this'", an Old Portuguese word "wistfulness for something, related to 'solitude' and 'salute'", and a Welsh word which I chose as most fitting which meant something close to "homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, or for a home which may have never been".
Now you know another small hobby of mine, etymology, and the use, creation, and meaning of words.

On bolded part: Sorry for the delay, but I believe your original post was actually fine. For some strange reason it must've gotten skipped in the moderation queue, and for that I do apologize. If you have any posts that you believe may have not been moderated, please talk to us in the "Report Unmodded Posts" topic on "Help and Suggestions" forum. Thanks, and once again, I apologize for the delay.

My most sincere thanks for the full explanation. I suspected that it went un-moderated, but seeing my other posts go through, I quickly put the thought aside. I thought it was my use of foreign words, but I didn't see that in the rules either, so I went with what I thought to be the most believable explanation.
My my, my ignorance really surprises me sometimes. I thought the "Report Unmodded Posts" topic was for reporting posts that were inappropriate, which would be a strange topic because there is already the "report" button.
I was just using 'em as examples of the era of users I would love to chat with again Peat checked in on the Wiki yesterday actually, saw an edit on a talk page by her!
Ah.... I see. I certainly would enjoy hearing some more oldies around here.
I've looked high and low for old PAP, but haven't seen her active. I think I heard she made another account on the Wiki, although I do not know what it is. If you could please tell her about this site and that I am here (I no longer have an active account at the wiki, got rid of 'em), then I would be very, very grateful.

You're welcome, happy to help! I think we prefer it if the majority of the posts were in English, but depending on the context of where you use foreign words and what it means, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I like that you gave us the meanings as well to show us what you meant by them as well.
Ah yes, that topic is for unmodded posts. Do indeed use the Report button if you see a post that you believe should have been rejected and we'll take care of it.

You're efforts are most appreciated, EED. Thanks you so very, very much. =)
Over in the "Finding Friendship" topic, Gnuehchcaz, Roddy15, and I got into a discussion as to who is the oldest user here on the LEGO Message Boards Eternal and your name has been agreed upon as to the oldest user. I hope you don't find it too embarrassing or prying into your privacy, and you can blame me for it all. I started asking after Gnuehchcaz mentioned that it was his 21st birthday. Weather you wish to confirm your suspected ancient status ( :P ) or not, you are welcome to join the conversation to say whatever you wish to say. I do warn you though, the "Finding Friendship" topic is speedy, and difficult to keep up with if you're looking for a specific post. My sincere apologizes if I have done you any ill, as I mean no ill will, my friend. :)

Haha no worries, my age isn't much of a secret XD I found related posts
Hi everyone. How've you all been doing? Tomorrow is the start of new student orientation for me at college, so that'll be scary.
My orientation started on Wednesday. I suggest you go to all the events you can. I missed a few, and I've had trouble figuring out what's going on and meeting people (I also don't really talk to people unless they talk first, which is part of the problem).
