    The Commonwealth of Esomerian Systems (C.E.S.), also referred to as Commonwealth, or Esomer is a large constitutional monarchy, consisting of four main Solar Systems, and a total of eight prominent, inhabited worlds. It is a large, developed, Galactic Power, situated in the 'South Eastern' reaches of the Galaxy, in the Esomerian Sector, and was until recently in conflict with neighbouring nations at the edges of the Galaxy. It has a large, steadily growing population of about 83 billion, mostly Humans. The official (and most-spoken) language is a slight variation of British English. The climate and geography of the Commonwealth vary a lot from planet to planet, however the culture largely remains one.

History:

    During the early and far off days of the Fourth Millennium of Our Lord, the Albion Sector was colonized by Britannia, a great, once-mighty nation, however they quickly achieved their fall fifty years later and the Colonies were left stranded. A period of political, economical and scientific stagnation started and the colonies warred against each other.

    A few millennia later, the solar system of Esomer, using the 'Speak softly, carry a big stick' policy, united some of the old colonies, under the Commonwealth in the 7200s. The Commonwealth, mainly from 7408 to 7693, proceeded to further expand it's territory and taking in other systems with the same ancestry and culture. This time, with the use of less armed forces, and the Commonwealth of Esomerian Systems was finally a considerable power, with significant, but unused, potential. A slumbering giant was a metaphor commonly used. It was not until the days of the 'Lancaster Reformation', during the last years of the Eight Millennium, that the exploitation of said potential started, under Emperor Richard of Lancaster.

    Thus, we reach modern history. The current Emperor is Cameron of Lancaster, first of the name. The Emperor is currently running a policy of expansion, mostly economical, but is also mobilizing his army as foes rise at the borders and in the Commonwealth.

Territory:

    The four main, inhabited solar systems of the Esomerian Sector are the Albion System (capital); the Ennor System (named after the works of a great writer, Tolkien); the Arthurian System and the Cambrian System. The Esomerian Sector also has the privilege of having an abundance of water, mostly found in frozen planets/asteroids, most of which has been transported to exoplanets. Each world is required to be self-sustainable when it comes to food, industry and supplies, have armies and infrastructure that meet the C.E.S. Standardization Agreement and answer to the Capital System.
The four main Capital Worlds are:

1. Lancaster, the Capital World, named after an old town in Earth and the current Royal Family. It has a population of 17 Billion Humans, and it's size is of 1.3 Earths. The gravity is stronger than Earth, but the mass of the Planet more than compensates for it. The Planet has a greater distance from it's sun of 1450,1 Million Km, making the planet a bit more cold than Earth. The ecosystem resemble Earth, but with a predominance of European and American imported flora and fauna. Situated in the Albion System.
   
2. Camelot, named after an old legend. It has a population of 15 Billion Humans, a size of 1.5 Earths, with a stronger gravity, also compensated by the planet's mass. The distance to its sun is smaller, 149,1 Million Km. It is the 'Green Jewel' of the Commonwealth, having more water than Earth and serving as a farming world, supplying surplus food to other colonies. Situated in the Arthurian System
   
3. Victoria, named after the victory against an ancient enemy. It is a frozen world, far away from its sun, with a distance of 194,7 Km. However, it has a population of 246 Million. Why? The settlers live in valleys, hotter than the rest of the planet, thanks to terraforming and geothermal phenomenon. It is house to a large industry, extracting naturally occurring alloys and building machines. Situated in the Ennor System.
   
4. Harlech, named after a castle in Earth. It's population is of 16 Billion. It serves as a tourist attraction, but also a military centre and scientific world. It's distance to it's Sun is almost the same as Earth, 149,6 Million Km. Situated in the Cambrian System.

Culture & Politics:

    The Commonwealth is very traditional culturally. It can be seen on their army: clothed in an early 20th Century fashion, armed with railguns decorated with wood. The clothes are also inspired by that period, and so are the cars, the streets, the cities, almost everything! The Commonwealth are normally called 'Conservative Retro Freaks'. They base themselves on the golden age of Europa, claiming direct relation with the old civilisation. Historians show them to be right. But their fashion is not all...

    When it comes to the Commonwealth, the greatest institution, together with the Reformed Church, is the family. The Commonwealth is based on the family and education. If the families don't properly educate their children, the Commonwealth risks falling, like other civilisations. Until now, most people are aware of this and properly educate their children. The role model, is, of course, the Imperial Family.

    In the Imperial Family, is the Emperor. The Emperor serves as a 'supervisor' to the government, and a supreme commander of the Imperial Armed Forces. He holds both symbolic and state power, but only serves as a moderator.
