Though we must remember that as Topic Creator, Junior will always have the authority to override the GM.
That's not how that works. There is no point in having a GM if he or she does not have absolute power.
I really don't want to start another argument about this. Per the RP Guidelines, the Topic Creator controls the topic. If it reached the point where the GM needed to be overruled, they wouldn't be a GM we wanted. There is no reaosn to think that the GM will need overruling.
Now, gentlemen, I have read this whole RP, and I have just read once about a reset, and as a proposition. After that, nothing, except for this last one, and it is just a proposition. I also agree that we keep our planets. As for BadPiggy's position of GM, I do not underestimate his competency, but I do support the idea of having a proper GM election, and not a Coup d'État :-P
Then I'll take that as one vote, which mean that mine makes two. Anyone else propose someone better?
I'm good with someone different, I say that FelipeDutra should be our GM.
Just because we had to change forums we are starting over?
I am not "cheating" I had my planets over before you guys decided to cut planets.
No, not everyone, FelipeDutara hasn't taken sides on the issue. And I think there are a few more.
Yes, it was a hard reset--those of us who even kept our old factions are starting over with three (now six) planets. Drop down to six like a civil person and acknowledge the GM (whom everyone but you has been okay with being in charge), or we will get the mods involved.
I am civil, calling me not civil, (or simply insinuating it) is a falacy. Also, I was all for him being GM, until now. Just clearing up a few things, carry on.

Hey, you're the one that's cheating.
I couldn't think of w decent sig, so here's a pig: 🐷

To a certain extent, I agree. The reason the GM position exists was because I was doing a terrible job.
I'm here if the arguement can't be resolved by normal means. No one has abo###e power: not me, or the GM.
the literal definition of GM is someone who has absolute power over the roleplay, to make the final ruling on enforcing rules. If you don't have someone like that, you don't have a GM. And if one of us can ignore the limits set on our number of planets, we all can--by Tuvok's logic, I am now stronger than everyone else in the entire roleplay combined, because I don't have to intentionally leave 99.9% of my territory out of the story anymore because I just don't feel like sticking to six. If we are this unconcerned about the only rules in this roleplay, why are we even here?

The reason the GM dosn't have absolute power is so they can't use the power to their advantage IC. In the cases you've stated the GM is outside the roleplay and is a neutral party. The GM isn't in Galaxy War, so they don't have absolute power incase they're more biased towards their faction or carries out major roleplay-changing rules without the RPers premission.

I could withdraw my faction and be a neutral party.

I support this; if not, I am prepared to do the same thing if needed. But we have to have a GM, the last roleplay was an absolute fiasco because there was none.
About the GM thing, since we're getting confused about the exact definition of GM why don't we make a new Job? Something like a Rule Guardian or Referee?
