In Ninjago there must be a balance. When there was to much darkness the Overlord came. So here's my question. What if the more power on the side of good, the more evil will come? What if every time the ninja defeat an enemy it causes a new one to rise? What is the more powerful the Ninja become, the more powerful the villains will become? Now if this is the case what should happen? Should the Ninja stop? Could the Ninja be the cause of every threat to Ninjago? If good causes evil in Ninjago what should happen?

Great theory. Now ask all those questions vice versa.

You don't know what vice versa is do you? Its okay? Replace the words ninja with bad guys and bad guys with ninja. Then, you will really start thinking.

Oh that's what you meant. I thought you meant the opposite?

Yes the bad guys cause problems but what causes them. When the balance is upset bad things happen. Does there being to much light cause a problem? Even the First Spinjitzu Master had darkness in him.

Cool theory! I do remember that Wu doesn't use his powers because it could make the balance unstable, if that helps!

Interesting theory, it really gets one thinking. Personally, I think the explanation for the rise of tyrants and enemies opposing the peace of Ninjago has little to do with the rise of powerful elemental ninja in itself. If we look back on the story that took place in the original pilot episodes, we get the impression that Ninjago had been living in relative peace for years. Yes, Master Wu shows up and begins recruiting the ninja, but it's only after Lord Garmadon sent the Skulkin out to do his bidding (Wu had been recruiting the ninja before he realized Garmadon was up to something, I know, but hey, he's got that spirit smoke stuff, so maybe he sensed something through "the force". ). Darkness made the first move, and light retaliated with Wu starting the ninja team. And thus began the ongoing war between good and evil.
I could go on, but I don't want to bore anyone. That's my thought on the matter, anyway. What do you think?

Darkness would also cause light to rise, as we saw in Hunted.

And yet darkness only comes in the absence of light as cold comes in the absence of heat, or hate born in the absence of love. A warrior is kind in peace and fierce in war. So live they in peace for many a season, calm in life and sound in reason, until evil arrives -a wicked horde- driving the warrior to take up his sword. The challenger rings then, straight and fair that the coward darkness never should dare to menace those living 'neath the Warrior's care. Wu knew he didn't have as much fight in him, so he selected and trained his heirs who'd carry on the mantle of balance.

This sounds scripted.
Then again, all of Ninjago is scripted. That's probably what's behind the balance. =P

What I if told you...
You read that last line wrong.
That I came up with that then and there? I do stuff like that all the time.=P

Trust me, this guy comes up with epic stuff like this all the time. Actually, I think you got a simplified version.
