Yes, finally, somewhere to talk about SoG without bothering anyone!
Jay's new look is adorable and really fits his personality, and his voice sounds even higher, in my opinion, after Lloyd hit puberty. (I think that's also kinda cute though, considering I've always found his childishness cute.) I also didn't know he liked tea as much as he did in episode 77, which gives me certain fanfiction/fanart ideas. His clinginess is also really cute, and did anyone else notice him reaching for Cole when he left? (I love their friendship, honestly.) Also, he calls Nya's mole a "mark of eternal beauty?" How cute can their relationship get?
Speaking of Lloyd hitting puberty, I actually really like his new voice. He sounds less whiny than in the prior seasons, and it really fits the fact that he's growing and getting more mature. Speaking of maturity, Lloyd is getting higher on my favorites list due to this (and the movie). His relationship with Harumi is really adorable (I don't ship them as much as Jaya, but still), and I'm starting to get used to his now green eyes (though I still wonder where they came from). His hair is also better and smoother than it was (though he's had one of the best hairstyles since he grew up in episode 18).
I think it kind of amuses me that Nya is suddenly even snarkier/snobbier than she was. "Hmph! Too much gold in my opinion," and her glares during Harumi's introduction, really fit her new, wilder looks. I'm glad that old Nya is still there, like in her talk with Harumi, or her reaction to Harumi talking to her. Plus, Kelly Metzger's performance for her voice is adorable as ever.
Zane...wow. Zane is really something. Not only can he "shapeshift," but now he's a master of disguise? And he has both his skin version's innocence and his titanium self's sass? Also, his "Snake Jaguar" persona is simply genius.
I gotta say, Cole has gotten deeper over the...one year since the events of Season 7 ended. XD "Rocky Danger-Buff" was great, his singing hilariously bad (though that was probably just out of nerve), and that backstory really hit me in the heart. Also, WHY WOULD HE GIVE UP CAKE? WHY? XD
Since I'm running out of characters, Kai was just...Kai.

Nice!! So when does episode 78 come out?
I think it comes out in Australia sometime today, so we should be able to find it on YT in a few hours or so.

After getting used to the movie designs, I've accepted them, and I think the ninja look pretty neat! Of course, when I watched the Lego Ninjago Movie, I'm probably going to think of the original characters every time I look at the new ninja. Eh, what are ya going to do? YES, I love Jay and Cole's friendship, too!! Those two have been awesome for years, and it's good to see the writers are still keeping it up! Ha ha, yeah, Jaya is still going strong, making it cute but without overdoing it -- again, kudos to the writers.
I've gotten used to the new Lloyd (and I resigned myself to saying goodbye to the old one), so I'm cool with him now. I kind of like Lloyd's relationship with Harumi so far, but I hope she'll come to be more use to the story as more than a love interest. Right now she's just taking up space like furniture. Hopefully her character will shine later on.
Yeah, Nya's looking good; still that justice-loving, quick thinker and good with machines, but also a kick-butt ninja with plenty of sass. I think I like it.
YES, Zane is AWESOME in this new season!! No wonder Brent Miller was so excited about Sons of Garmadon. Zane's finally getting decent part since Rebooted!!
Cole. Yes, Cole. . . I was stunned to see that flashback, and loved it. He has some fun-stupid, silly parts in the season, but at the same time we're getting a little peek into his heart.
Kai's been OK, but I've noticed he hasn't really shown himself very much during these episodes. Probably because he needs to step aside and let someone else take the spotlight for a change.
So, for those people who thought Season 8 would stink and that the movie designs would wreck everything:

MOD: If you're a Ninjago fan and don't want Season 8 spoiled, just leave this post for some other mod who's already seen it.
*ahem* Season 8 is overall amazing. The animation and music perfectly portray the excellence of the story and events, as heh plotline is exciting and fun, while the comedy has exceeded in quality, through-the-roof in hilariousness. Harumi feels a bit clichè - she's prefect, kind, beautiful, a princess, etc. I know it's a controversial opinion, but I personally don't feel like she's too great of a fit, added solely so Lloyd can have a ship. I would enjoy it if she turned out to be an evil traitor, but simultaneously, I wouldn't, as 1) we've already seen this with Skylor, and 2) she's already opened up too much for this to be a possibility. Zane's role as pretending to be part of the Sons of Garmadon was great, and made for quite the well-done action sequence. Cole's method of escaping prison was hilarious. I feel like Kai and Nya haven't had the proper amount of screen time yet; hopefully they'll have some more soon. I think the baby is a child form of Lord Garmadon - why else would the Sons of Garmadon care to keep a baby? Not to mention, the Ninja singing to the Weekend Whip in one of the trailers, spoiling him, seems kind of like a method for the ninja to try to stray baby Garmadon to the good side. (Of course, come season finale, he'll turn bad anyway. Oh well.) However, it could also be the child form of Wu. In a nutshell, I LUF IT

I'm sure it's baby Wu. Maybe Baby Wu is the secret because Wu is connected to Garmadon? Maybe it's even a baby FSM?
