[I'm, defiantly not going to fight to the death... I wanna see where that light is coming from. ]
"Hold up. Whats that?" Bear asks, suddenly distracted by a ray golden light, streaming onto the dusty ground. She crawled towards it, the walls of the narrowing passageway rubbing up against her. Finally reaching her destination, Bear peered through the opening. "By golly, it's a secret room!"
Tigress, on the verge of spouting about half a dozen logical fallacies at Emarcee's hostile accusations, stops when Bear orders them to "Hold up". "What is it?" Tigress turns, and realizes that a small door is slowly creaking open, casting a dim ray of light across the dusty, gritty floorboards of the tunnels. She catches sight of a small figure crawling toward the door, and with a start she realizes Bear is already making her way to the enigmatic entrance. "Hey, wait up!" Tigress calls as she follows eagerly. She turns off her flashlight with a click, seeing that the light, dim as it was, was enough for them to see by. She hears Emarcee give an irritated grunt behind them. For a split second, Tigress wonders what happened to Mock, who had told her he would join her in the tunnels. Welp, you snooze, you lose. Pushing aside the thoughts of her brother, Tigress joins Bear at the threshold and peers in. Her eyes widen with interest, and she breathes. "Oh, my bricks. . ."
As you enter the secret room (that just so happens to be Baton's hotel room) you blink against the harsh sunlight streaming through the rooms window. You sit there for a few seconds, adjusting to the new atmosphere. You straighten up and stretch your cramped muscles.
You take a step forward. Something's in the corner.
You squint, beyond the rays of sunlight and dust molecules floating about, is a figure hunched in the shadows.
"Helloo-!" You recoil in horror. For sitting on the floor is Baton. a Marlfox axe grasped in his lifeless hands. He's been defeated with his own weapon. An unbreakable twix rapier. Your attention turns towards the door. It's been swung open, it's hinges still squeaking.
The culprit has escaped through the door.
Will you follow?
Or wait for your companions?
Your choice.
( I wasn't sure if you saw this perviously so I rewrote it for you guys )
On his way to the cafe, the chivalrous Steve just so happens to chance upon Tigress. He waves his rubber chicken named George at her. "Why hello there good sir! I'm on my way to the cafe. Care to join me madam?" He twirls his rubber chicken and immediately smacks himself in the face with it. "GEORGE. WE'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS." Continues twirling it. Smacks himself in the face again. "GEORGE STOP THIS AT ONCE!" He throws the unfortunate George violently onto the floor and kicks it across the hallway. "Ahemhem." He straightens his unruly hair. "Sorry about all that. NOW. Where were we friend?" Blanks out. "AH! Oh yes! Supper! Care to join me?"
Tigress watches blankly as George is kicked across the hallway. Then, blinking repeatedly, bites back a smile and replies. "Eh -- maybe later, Mister --?" She bites her lip in thought, trying to remember the dude's name, then continues. "--Steve! You're Steve, right? Yeah, but maybe I'll come down in a few minutes. I'm. . . checking out something." The last bit she mumbles evasively, though gives a small, casual smile.
OOC: Ah yes! I'm sorry for the confusion friend. I meant TeaLeaf when I was writing that out. Silly me. My brain must have been wandering. Maybe I'll go with it one of these days.
"Alas, it appears that I will be alone in my travels. No matter! More food for meeeeee." He skips down the hallway towards the old elevator warbling a catchy tune in the fabulous key of off.
"You've gotta keep smiling, smiling, smiling smiling, smiling, smiling smiling smiling, smiiiilingg- Wait. I forgot the rest of the words! Oh well."
Surprisingly he finally finds his way towards the empty cafe. He looks around with a goofy grin on his face and plumps down into a chair.
A very loud and obnoxious voice is heard through a speaker at the end of the hallway. "ATTENTION VACATIONERS! I the fantabulous Jay, am pleased to announce the hotels new library. Why a library you may ask? Because I have space and money. Stop asking dumb questions." *Click*
Standing in the tunnels, Tigress hears the intercom and cocks her head, listening. Once it ends, she mutters. "A library? Cool. I'll check it out once I'm through with these tunnels. Maybe it has my missing Ranger's Apprentice book."
OOC: Well, seeing how Jay is obsessed with the series, Those are probably the only ones that are there. Maybe a few aren't Ranger's Apprentice books, but books filled with important information as to why the hotel exists and why it's so gosh darned spooky. But like I said, probably not important. No need to go searching for them and all that.

Now why do I think that those books might be some of LordTigress' missing ones?
