In 2008 Star Wars The Clone Wars came into theaters (which was to launch the new TV series of the same name) The movie gave anakin a padawan- Ahsoka Tano(who people at first disliked then started to love.)

Here is why the plot makes no sense-

Why would the republic and Jedi care if Jabba's son got kidnapped?

Also doesn't Anakin have bad blood towards the hutt clans?
