Days pass, and a withered form enters a lonesome island on a leaking clipper...
Scrambling onto the bow, the pilot jumps off as it rams into a rock and kisses the sandy ground beneath him. Tapping a tree, he laughs as he hears a hollow echo, and after a bit of searching, pulls a branch.
The ground opens, and he is sucked into what appears to be quicksand. Everything grows silent.
Underground, the man begins to breathe normally, letting out a small joyous cry. Making his way through many dark and narrow corridors, he finally reaches a large room where he is greeted by a man standing in front of a throne. Dropping to his knees, the withered man calls out to him.
"Varrow, I-I barely escaped. Ambushed-"
The man known as Varrow raises his hand for silence. Walking towards the pleading man, he pulls from his pocket the handle of a rapier.
"My rapier, you've broken it, along with my crew in the hands of mine enemy."
Letting it drop from his hands, Varrow walks back to his throne.
"Though I'm sure the other tag a longs never guessed the truth. How incompetent would the governor be on his first outing than to let himself be known to outsiders, and not send a proxy."
Mouth agape, the withered man pleads even louder, knowing what would befall him next.
"But-I-I destroyed one of her hideouts!"
Varrow laughs. "Hideouts? Only a mere Tavern for the lonely passersby, now destroyed by one acting on behalf of the Crown." He stresses this last point with a clenched fist.
"It was-the information was fake?"
The withered man shakes his head, and clasping his head screams even louder. Varrow motions for a guard, who appears out of the darkness and grabs the weeping man by the collar.
"Let the Vultures contend with you."
Resting his hand on his chin, Varrow resumes the inspection of a large map. Drawn on it is a fleet, and written in red ink is the name of a large vessel...the Varrowing...
"What, are mine not good enough for ye? I'll sue you for defamation!"
OOC: Perhaps this would be a good time for Jack & Co. to encounter Emiliano and Co. Make the RP a bit more exciting!
OOC: Was waiting for you to say that.
IC: The faint tunes of an accordion follow the presence of an unusual looking Clipper sailing precariously near Kane's ship.
"Ahoy! What trouble have you found yourself in this time Sir Jeff?"
Leaning out from the Crow's Nest, Captain Emiliano inspects Kane's vessel through a brass monocular before playfully throwing it in the air for her Falcon, Luz, to catch.
Suddenly the loud boom of a misfired cannon silences both crews as a large frigate emerges from the horizon.
Adjusting her tattered tricorn hat, Emiliano quickly hollers to her navigator. "Circle around and avoid fire! The wounded are our first priority!" She salutes to Kane with her saber. "Appears we've attracted some unwanted company!"

Aye! What's the game plan, Ms?
The frigate sails closer to the two vessels, raising a flag that sports an hourglass. Emiliano grits her teeth. "No time for formalities, ey?" She turns to Kane and loudly shouts, "I'd say let's test the reliance of your ship, Captain! I'll perform the opening toast!"
Blowing into a whistle that hanged from her necklace, Emiliano summons a large flock of birds that encircles the hostile frigate, frightening its crew.
Sailing in a zig zag pattern, the newly set cannonball misses La Paloma and harmlessly falls into the water. The clipper circles back, and from the crow's nest Emiliano informs Kane of the next phase. "Your turn, Captain!" She blew into the whistle again and the birds disperse, leavening an opening for Kane's vessel.
