Ah, see, it's this ability to write on a whim. Just, you could sit down, grab a pen, and then suddenly you've filled a whole page. Sadly, it dulled out because of lack of training :c We may not have it anymore, but we can still remember...................
Sometimes it can be forced out on academic essays, but other times memories of only it come and go, drifting in the waves in aimless directions as it follows the flow... QuQ
Writer's pop quiz! To anyone who wants to, fill in this list of trivia I'd like for you to answer:
1. Did any real life event inspire you to make any pieces? If so, which one?
2. Did any real life people inspire you to make any characters? If so, who?
3. Have you ever gotten a dream that made you write?
4. Name one writing that was inspired by something completely random!
5. Who's your favourite character that you made?
6. What's your favourite world that you made?
7. Has anyone else ever read your stories, except for LMBE and LMB users?
8. Have you ever written a story based on someone's prompt? If so, what is that prompt?
9. Can you recall the first ever writing you wrote?
10. And a bonus: Have you ever written a fanfic of your fic? For example, you wrote up a whole universe and new characters and a thick storyline, etc. and then you wrote about something that happens in that world, whether it's canon or not to your story, whether it's about a ship between your characters or about a background character, anything?
Have fun!
( I hope you don't mind that I added numbers, I'm hoping it'll make thing less confusing for myself. )
1. Real life event. Yeah I believe some real events have inspired some parts of my writing, but I usually write about stuff I haven't experienced for the most part. 2. Oh yes definitely! A whole list of characters: Jadyn, Lisa, Moe, Zaida, Zarha, Gregory, Gorege, Gabe, Gavin, Grant, Omincron, Kent. Ria, Coy, Cenzy, Shane. And many others either got their names, personality or looks from real people or real people inspired their creation. And that's not including the boat load of characters based on myself and characters the are inspired but other people but don't have names or much development yet. 3. Yes, I believe so. If not dreams have inspired me at least. 4. I'm not sure... 5. Zephyr. 6. Um probably... Uh, well you see I have a few worlds and it's hard to pick a favorite. 7. Yes... XP 8. I wrote some Miraculous short stories using some prompts for a challenge I never finished. But they are horribly written and one is far to shipy for my taste. 9. I don't think so. I do know what my first Ninjago fan fiction was though...
10. Most of the writing I do for my fan fiction does end up being canon to the story however I do a LOT of daydreaming different scenes, lots of which do end up in the fan fiction but many I know may not and should not make the final cut.
I'm working on a story and I was wondering if I could get an opinion on the concept: Essentially it's set in the far future where America is isolated from the world and caught in a civil war that's been waging for centuries with neither side managing to gain an edge. However, times are changing and as such the main characters are able to unlock a secret which can turn the tide of the battle in their favor, the only issue is, they have to find a way to show the continent this secret to expose everything
You said "a real life event", you never said it had to be personal.
Same as the above.
Some dude with a katana that fires lasers.
Yeah, I can't.
No idea, but if my story topics have views when I haven't been on it, then someone must have seen it.
Hit me with it, but not literally.
Even then, how would I know it's truly the first one?
A fanfiction is when someone else writes about your stuff. You can't write a fanfiction about anything you own.
Touchè.
XD That was some dream you had.
Yeah, alright
Oh, yeah, alright. Makes sense. :v
Okay okay okay! Write something that makes a tree, like a normal regular tree, feels out of place. I've got other good ones, but I can't remember them on the spot
......cause....the date would be the oldest.....
Alright then, I'll agree to disagree.
You should have seen the one with Giratina playing the banjo. There's a lot of places where normal regular trees feel out of place. Ever seen the surface of Mars?
Ok, I'm bored. Here's a writing prompt I used to write something a while ago. I want to see what everyone else sees in this. Maybe I'll post mine here, maybe I'll send more writing prompts, idk.
It makes me think about how lonely people can be. I don't rely know why.
22Dynamite here's the rest. Oooh, that sounds really cool!! If you ever post it, I'll definitely read it.
Cool, I'll just reply here.
That's really awesome! Agh, such cool names. If only I knew how to pronounce them Is Wren the main protagonist? Oh, I love how different races have different magic! Oh my bricks, I wonder how half-bloods' magic works!
What, The Legend of Raindria? Aw shucks. I might never post it, though I'm flattered you think it's cool. ^v^
Okay.
Thank you! ^v^ I could write the pronunciations if you'd like. No, she's more of a side character. The main protagonists of the first three books/prologue-the-length-of-books is an apprentice mage named Pal-wan Thorn and his younger brother Anrowan. The main part of the series' main protagonists are three teens named Liam Thorn, Princess Kaiké Ail'thwan and Aaron Wolfe. The last book/epilogue-the-length-of-a-book is still undecided but will probably be a character named Aylo Tyr or (SPOILER ALERT in case I ever post this series) Liam and Kaiké's daughter. ^.^ Oh, that's a good point...I haven't thought about half-blood magic yet. Brb... *half hour later, IRL* OK, after a half hour of scribbling ideas and notes and theories in my notebook, I've come up with a loose idea of how it'd work. It varies from race to race, and person to person. So a Dhinvar-human hybrid would be able to, in most cases, but a Komorgah*-human probably wouldn't be able to because of their Komorgah blood, but some might be able to because they are part human though it will probably be weaker than a human pureblood. Since there are so far nearly fifty named races in the series and even more I haven't named yet, I won't add the specifics for each race. :3 Okay, I understand. I'm flattered that you're flattered. sorry dumb trend. In the Legend of Raindria, how does the magic work?
Oh, it just sometimes over simplifies things It sometimes never even explains situations at all, it's all just dialogue
Oh, isn't it amazing? What are your most unusual inspirations?
Well, dialogue can be used in a powerful way, if done right!
Yes, and scary at times! Dreams and Minecraft animations. No, I’m not kidding about the second one! I don’t watch a lot of them, but I stumbled across one channel that does them and tells really good stories with them. Been hooked on that channel ever since, minecraft or not!
Close to a year now. Lots of concept notes, sketches, drafts, drafts of drafts, and I’m still only a few chapters in. (Like, 7 or 8). Part of what makes it a slow going concept is that what I want to do with this novel keeps changing. But now it’s become a tangled, intricate web of layers, meanings, and stories. The same story is told throughout the book, yet underneath that top layer, there are so many more stories told.
I hope to get it published anonymously. (Aside from the publisher, that is, they would know who I am.) I think what matters with this story is the message I’m sending, not me. This story has become my way of introducing myself into the world of the written world, giving people insight into who I am, while never pairing that with a name or a face. It feels like it would have more meaning that way. After that, idk where I’ll go from there, but I hope it makes a difference.
Cool!
Wow... O.o That sounds so deep and intricate. Like every paragraph is a puzzle piece, with a special meaning for being where it is so that it'll make the entire picture become clear. . . What an amazing move you're making. I hope you'll succeed, while enjoying the process of creating your story along the way.
Thanks! I hope it is deep an intricate. I managed to do some introspective digging and simplified it all. It still hides hidden meaning, it’s just not a mess anymore.
Nice! I need to finish reading those when I get a chance! That’s super cool! Yeah, I totally feel that. I’m the same way.
I’m currently working on a novel IRL, it’s going super well and I’m super happy. Hoping I can get it published.
I would be very happy if you did that but no pressure. It's annoying in't it, so much to write but having to wait.
Oh cool! I hope you can as well! Good luck!
I definitely will. Hopefully I’ll have time to in college! I’ve just been super busy lately, but really wanting to stay active on here as long as possible. Yes, especially when you’re as scatter-brained as I am...
