What a lovely piece of the story! ^v^ Did you ever finish it? How old is it exactly? :3
I think lots of my more random inspirations for stories comes mainly from the music I listen to, the books I read, and the movies/TV shows I watch. I like it when the inspirations of others inspires me. What about you?
Thanks! >u< I did finish it, though it took two weeks probably. I started, then stopped in the middle, then put in little additions and finally finished it. It kinda took me to feel the emotions that was in the scene, then I could continue it. (That was back then, now I write whatever I can think of ). I think this piece was finished when the LMBEs was still young, 'cause I remember associating it with this LMB and LMBE change thing. (Man, my writings used to be so symbolic XD)
My random inspirations are just basically what I'm feeling atm. Give me a few seconds staring at nothing, then bam, a new piece. This is very recently, of course. I used to have that Special SparkTM to write anything

I, too, used to have a special spark. But it's been lost for years now and the missing posters didn't help. *wipes tears* u_u Honestly, inspirations just hit anytime, anywhere. Sometimes it's right before I fall asleep and I can't remember it in the morning.
What is this writing spark you two speak of? You've sparked my curiosity.
I guess. I'm actively working on Claws of Night, a Ninjago fanfiction, an unnamed dragon fantasy series, an unnamed sci-fi book, a fantasy series called Legacies, an unnamed Ninjago-ish short story and lastly an unnamed series that's an odd mix of fantasy in the modern day and medieval worlds. Yes, I'm an overachiever when it comes to some things. xD
Yes! Someone in the same boat as me on this. I've got a few different series planned, about half of which I've started writing the first chapter of and are working on them all at once. Although I kinda put them on hold for the moment while I'm trying to work on writing the one that I want to finish this summer. ( And work on Gravitation too when I can of course. ) The ones that you are doing sound cool!
You're welcome, again. Ahh, that makes sense. Those are often fun segments, though.
Surely not. Ohh, goodness, you're one of the torture-writers. XD *I say that as if I'm not one myself* Yeesss, the most dramatic and emotional scenes for the characters are just too bricking awesome to write. I love the emotional scenes, too. As for a more general answer, fantasy and fiction.
X3 Yeah, they brickin are Sometimes I just spend days on end writing those. maybe it represents my dire need to exchange those jokes and stuffs with my best friends
Torture writers? Is that what it's called? I love it XD You too? Naiiiisss It's so fun! You get to imagine the small but heartbreaking things they do, like repeat their fallen friend's saying or hallucinate a certain special someone when they're at rock bottom. It'S ReAlly FuN Honestly, though, I won't believe if not one single writer here hasn't torture-written yet (Seriously? If you havem't, you're not living up to your writer potential ) Fantasy and fiction, eh? Nice :3 Okay then, what are your least favorite genres to write?
That one was inspired by one Adventure Time episode, where Jake the dog's brother Germaine had been painting abstract, rather than the realistic landscapes he did. What're y'all's random inspiration for stories?
This is very good! Nice job with the vivid description!
My inspirations come from varying places. People I meet, things I see, other stories, music, old stories I wrote, anything really.
Thanks! Really? I guess it's more vivid than my newest pieces
Oh my god, another like me Those two: People I meet and things I see, inspire me the most. Mostly things I see I'm in love with how just, like, a lonely orange brick on my mom's desk would make liven up into a whole story. It's really magical
What is this writing spark you two speak of? You've sparked my curiosity.
Ah, see, it's this ability to write on a whim. Just, you could sit down, grab a pen, and then suddenly you've filled a whole page. Sadly, it dulled out because of lack of training :c We may not have it anymore, but we can still remember...................

I like torturing characters.
Ah, see? A writer who has unlocked their full potential. Wait wait.. do you mean by putting them in a sad situation or having another character hurt them for answers?
You're welcome, again. Ahh, that makes sense. Those are often fun segments, though.

Ahh, that's great. Heheh, that makes sense. Do you have many IRL friends?
I dunno, that's what I call it, anyway. XD Heheh, you're speaking my language... *crazed laughter ensues* Ain't that the truth! Come to think of it, I'm not sure if I've met any writers here who haven't had their dark moments in their stories--aside from the comedy writers, that is. Probably sci-fi; I have a hard time visualizing what the other-worldly technology looks like, and I don't really know how real-life technology works so it's hard for me to make that kind of stuff seem realistic and vivid. What about you?

Is it? It kinda makes dozens of paragraphs in my story pointless, unless you count endless rambling critical to character building Yeah, I'm more fortunate than my sister
Honestly, I bet comedy writers write fanfics of their comedies and put them in a little heartbreaking scene.
Yeah, I have trouble on the technology making stuff too. My siblings and I have come up with thousands of inventions, though I don't know how to sew it into the story or at least make it sound legit and real Me? Hmm, I dunno. I jump from genre to genre, though I think I pretty much never tried writing about fantasy creatures. Yup, I've made up my mind, I hate writing about fantasy creatures. I don't know what I'm supposed to do! Should it have claws? Should it flap it's wings when it's in the air or just soar like a hang glider? Okay, I think I'll make a water based creature, that has a dog-like shape and a tail and-oh wait that's a pokemon isn't it?? As much as I love and care about animals, I can't write squat about them. Though, just a side note, I love your creatures in Roots of Earth. I only read the first parts of your story, where 'Kai and Skylor' transformed into giant two-tailed cat-beasts. I love those monster-y beings!
Not too much, as I've been traveling a lot lately, but I've been working on my Ninjago fanfic "Roots of Earth" whenever I can--kind of a big task to carry around with me on the road, but a nice way to pass the time. What about you?
That’s pretty cool. Yeah, I agree, writing is a fun way to pass the time when traveling. That’s when I do most of my writing. I hardly ever write at home (though I’m trying to make it a habit). My creative brain tends to get pumping when I’m bored. I’ll have to give your story a read. Is it on the boards?
Me, I’ve been working on a novel IRL, been a project of mine since summer of last year. A lot of writing, then going back and editing, sometimes deleting entire chapters. It’s a long process, but it’s getting better and better. Like forging a sword. You just keep reheating it and pounding out the imperfections.
That makes sense. When your brain has nothing to do, creating stories is what brightens the mood. Yup, in the Ninjago stories forum. You'd probably only want to read it if you like Ninjago and long stories.
Whoa... that's awesome! Man, that sounds like a pretty huge project! 0,0 How long have you been working on it?

I can see that. I guess there's a balance between having enough of those moments to make the story fun and add development to the characters versus so many it slows down the story. Aw. She doesn't have many?
Hm, maybe I should ask a comedy writer about that sometime. Gotcha. XD XD That's funny, but quite at right. It's a good thing the world has bunches and bunches of fantasy creatures to spare for writers to use in their stories. Oh, wow, thank you!! I'm amazed you're reading it--and have gotten that far--already!

Always! I might give it a skim!
Close to a year now. Lots of concept notes, sketches, drafts, drafts of drafts, and I’m still only a few chapters in. (Like, 7 or 8). Part of what makes it a slow going concept is that what I want to do with this novel keeps changing. But now it’s become a tangled, intricate web of layers, meanings, and stories. The same story is told throughout the book, yet underneath that top layer, there are so many more stories told.
I hope to get it published anonymously. (Aside from the publisher, that is, they would know who I am.) I think what matters with this story is the message I’m sending, not me. This story has become my way of introducing myself into the world of the written world, giving people insight into who I am, while never pairing that with a name or a face. It feels like it would have more meaning that way. After that, idk where I’ll go from there, but I hope it makes a difference.

Yeah, I guess there is She gets horribly super shy around people it's adorable Don't worry, though. She'll get friends soon enough. Coolness runs in the family
Yeah, it's cool enough that when you put a cat's head on a fish's body, bam, you invented a fantasy creature
