Hi! I love to write like ALL THE TIME but my main two problems are that, 1, I start writing a story and I'm like "Wow, this plot is really good, I think this story might be famous when I publish it!" Then the next day when I continue writing I'm like, "Oh my gosh... How did I ever think this was good?" Then I get bored and start another story.
And that's problem 2. The longest story I ever wrote was only 30 pages, and it wasn't even that good. Either I can make an awesome short story and a really bad but really long one. So yeah, all this talking about writing is making me want to keep writing Also, it's not really my story, I write it with my best friend on a shared Google Document.
Hey Katty! I love writing all the time as well! I have those same problems all the time. I find what helps me with the first problem, is when I feel that way about a story, I go back and start editing chapters. It helps you find new ways to continue the story. This helps with writers block as well. I know it might sound boring, but in my experience, it makes the story seem a lot better and gives you a better idea on how to continue!
Hey, 30 pages is longer than anything I’ve ever written! Again, to find inspiration for a book, I would suggest doing the small things. Editing a page or two, or listening to some inspiring music, whatever inspires you to add to the story. Something to give you fresh ideas.
Hope you find this helpful!
